This aquarium has so much potential but with the lack of investment throughout the years it seems to be getting pretty worn down. We always enjoy our visit to the aquarium but I feel it could offer way more. I thought with the place being closed during the COVID restrictions that they might have gotten a chance to upgrade a few things, even just paint the walls, update the displays, source some new fish or something.

Pretty basic aquarium and as such overpriced. In my opinion, €5-7 would be a valid price. Now it was twice that.

We've visited Galway Atlantaquaria a few times in the past, and today we visited for the first time since it reopened following lockdown.

We visited late on a Sunday morning. Pre-booking was optional, but when we arrived it was very busy with lots of young families enjoying the attraction.

The venue was pretty much the same as last time...the exhibits were unchanged, and it was disappointed that the indoor submarine exhibit and the demonstrations with the marine life were not running. The rockpools upstairs were empty, apart from some sea anemones and lichen e.t.c.

The venue could do with a lick of paint and a tidy-up as it looked a little rundown since we were there last eighteen months ago. The ticket price was €39 for two adults and three children, which seemed quite expensive when not all the features were open.

I can understand that such exhibits have been severely economically affected by the recent lockdown periods, so hoping that the aquarium can get some capital funding for a revamp and a facelift and a proper re-opening. It's great facility, asset, and such a valuable feature for Galway.

A great holiday venue for all the family. Covid controls were excellent. Really good fun and lovely to see so many foreign visitors enjoying it as much as we did.

Great experience. Whole family loved this family activity with online booking and one way system very covid safe putting your mind at ease to attend an indoor place during current times.

Something fun to do & It is reasonably priced. Variety of many different species both salt and fresh water! The only downside was the fact the touch tanks were closed due to Covid 19 measures. Great for kids/families & couples who enjoy activities.
