We had the most amazing tour! Although we were disappointed that the Cliffs of Moher had closed due to severe weather, we couldn’t have asked for more. John B was really fantastic! His knowledge and commentary was absolutely wonderful. The company gave us entrance to the caves because the Cliffs were closed, which was an added bonus. John B went out of his way to give us the most he could with extra stops, lost of commentary and lots of attention. Our lunch stop was great! We actually stopped and had quite a show from the Wild Atlantic and could see the Cliffs in the background. So happy we chose Lally Tours as many others had cancelled.

Gerry was incredibly knowledgeable and shared a great history of Ireland. He also kept the ride entertaining with personal anecdotes and music interspersed throughout the ride. His jokes were great and he was very on top of punctuality and ensuring everyone was taken care of throughout the trip. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a day trip from Galway!

Wow! Completely blown away by our day trip from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher via Kinvara, Ballyvaughan, Doolin. Our driver and tour guide was John B. His knowledge of the area, great story telling, sense of humour, wit, charm, warmth and friendliness made the experience that extra bit special and for that reason alone we are planning our next trip with Lally tours! The customer service and professionalism shown to us was simply outstanding. Everything is planned impeccably with Lally's - (e.g., Lally's provide a menu for lunch in a local venue. The driver will call in your order, in advance, which takes the hassle and stress away especially during a busy lunch hour). The tour is certainly value for money, the coach was impeccably clean and comfortable with a w.c. onboard. It really was one of the best tours we've experienced internationally. Thank you John B and team. Looking forward to the next one!

I booked the day tour to Connemara and the national Park/Diamond hill. John B was an excellent tour guide. As our group was small and the abbey closed he made extra stops for us and he had so many wonderful facts and stories about the area. The tour felt like we were on a trip with a friend or family member- he knows all the good spots to stop for photos. I would recommend this tour with extra time at the national park for anyone who loves the outdoors, hiking and being in the peace of nature. I walked the blue trail at the park and had plenty of time for a delicious meal of lamb stew at Veldons and to pop into the local bookstore. A wonderful day all around.

We took the cliffs of Moher and Burren tour today with John C, and I must say, this was the best tour I have taken in Ireland. John C was incredibly knowledgable and passionate about Irish history and culture, and my family learned so much during our time with John. He had a great sense of humour and kept us entertained throughout our entire drive. John kept great time as we progressed throughout all the amazing stops. Would highly recommend taking a tour with Lally Tours, especially if you are able to have John C as your guide!

I took the Cliffs of Moher and Burren your today with Lally Tours and John was our driver/tour guide; it honestly blew me away!
Being November, let's get this part out of the way-- The weather cleared up as the day went on and it was actually sunny at the major stops! It would have been just as great in the mist. There were certainly a few overcast spots, but it didn't take away my enjoyment.
John was an excellent tour guide. He shared interesting historical tidbits thought the entire drive. I appreciated that he kept us on time and well informed so that we all had plenty of time at every stop while the sun was still up
The Cliffs are stunning, of course! The Burren was magical though. I'm so very glad I got to see and experience that!!
I'd do this again for sure!

Excellent tour! Our guide John made the whole drive engaging, educational and fun for the full 8 hours. John was incredible navigating the roads and we felt very safe in his care. We were always perfectly on schedule with the many stops, and even had time for an extra stop for more jaw dropping views and photos. Also appreciated his knowledge and reminder to respect the local landscape, wildlife and communities and step lightly on the land.

We had an amazing day trip with our guide Jerry and our driver John. Actually we were the only ones showing up on that day which made it a very intimate and insightful experience. Jerry was very knowledgeable and went into a lot of detail about the history behind the sites we visited. He went above and beyond taking very nice pictures of us at some hidden gem spots. We had a crack riding with him and John, who drove comfortably, expertly and safely. It really deepened our experience of Ireland and I would recommend the trip to anyone.

I booked this last minute on a Friday in January. The tour was the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. What an amazing way to spend a Sunday in Ireland. John B, our guide, displayed a wealth of knowledge about everything we layed eyes on. He was also an extremely safe and conscientious driver. That made it possible for me to actually relax and enjoy his narration of our tour. There was an issue with our pre-ordered lunch, and John B stopped eating his own lunch to straighten it out. I ended up getting the meal for free. He also gave a great recommendation for a local pub that was more for locals. I won’t divulge the name to protect its location. I highly recommend Lally tours to anyone and everyone.

Excellent day trip of Cliffs of Moher and The Burren
We were very lucky to have John B. as our driver/tour guide. John had everything planned to maximise our day . We saw so much , castle ruins, the Alliwee caves , corkscrew hill , the Cliffs of Moher and drove all along the wild Atlantic Way .we had lunch in a fab local pub which uses only local produce/ suppliers, which is great for the area.
John B. has huge knowledge on the whole area we travelled through which he imparted in an interesting and fun way . He has a great sense of humour and it never felt like a history or geography lesson !!
John B. Is clearly passionate about what he does and it shows, and although he does this tour all the time he comes across with the enthusiasm as if it were his first day doing it .
Busses modern and clean and windows clear with no printed logos on the outside, to ensure a clear view . Couldn’t recommend Lally Tours highly enough and will definitely do another Lally tour when in Galway again .

We are interested in the tour to Cliffs of Moher and Dunguaire Castle from Galway. We also were interested in the banquet dinner offered at the Castle. Is it possible to do this tour and buy the banquet from the Castle?

How big is the bus on the Connemara tour? Do you pick up from accommodation , if not where does it leave from?

Thanks for your message! The size of the bus will depend on the number of bookings, so its impossible to say for sure until we know which day you are booked for. The maximum size is a 53 seater coach but in the off season it is often a smaller coach. We certainly do offer pickups - just get in touch with us after you have made your booking to confirm!

For the hop on hop off Galway tour I'm thinking of parking at the aquarium and catching the bus there. Does anyone know what time the bus stops there? Also where exactly is the bus stop by the Aquarium? If I do end up starting at Eyre Square does anyone know of a good place to park by that bus stop?

Hi there. The bus stops at the pedestrianised crossing just after the Aquarium, before you reach the roundabout. It is usually here 10 minutes after it leaves Eyre Square.
The bus departs the Square at 10.30am, 12pm, 13.30pm, and 15.00pm, so add 10 minutes to these times for the Salthill pick-up.
