We stayed in Doolin just up the hill. Walking down to this pub was super convenient. Enjoyed their soup and the goat cheese tart was delicious. We stayed around for the local music, and gradually as the night went on, were able to get closer...More

This bar was my local as a student up to my graduation 1985. It has changed little in the intervening years. Same old charm, atmosphere and easy conversation with locals, a Haven away from the chaos outside due to its prominent location on Quay Street....More

We just had one drink here as we'd never visited before but we weren't tempted to stay as it was quite bright and not as cosy as some of the other pubs on the street.

If you'd like a taste of a low-key drinking establishment, this is it. It has a homey feel, great local atmosphere, and nice people... patrons, and staff alike. Sports and good conversation are the main attractions in this bar. Stop-by, and enjoy a pint or...More

We popped in here after being turned off by all the tourists at The King's Head. Oh, what fun hearing locals talk about politics or hearing two locals greet each other after not seeing each other for ages. Atmosphere was very friendly. We were seated...More

Somewhat drab, but full of local personalities and flavor. A non-descript joint where you can always find good conversation and a good pint.
