First it works have been nice for High King Tours to show up and have a working phone number. It also would be great if you did background checks on tour companies.

Pretty rough day. We started out with a party of 7 people looking forward to the Galway to Cong tour. The bus never showed and talking to people at Viator was not particularly helpful either. Local number for High kings tours was not operational. Thankfully, Galway tour company came to our aid and we were able to book basically the same tour. Galway tour company employees are very friendly and helpful. I have lost total confidence in booking with Viator.

We arrived at the Coach station. About 20 minutes prior to time as instructed on our documents. We waited almost an hour. We never saw any other people who would be in our group and never saw any bus as described. We went up to the larger coaches to make sure those weren't ours. We finally left and walked around town for the day. We have requested a refund. Hopefully the tour we booked for Monday will actually happen.

Doron McHugh the owner of High Kings was our guide on a full day tour of Cong and Ashford Castle. He picked us up in Galway right on time and we travelled in comfort in a nicely appointed and spotless coach. A memorable part of the trip was Doron himself. He took us through the beautiful countryside delighting us with tid-bits of local Irish history, culture and folklore. He has a wonderful, and very genuine way of sharing his love of Cong and surrounds which were his boyhood haunts and continue to be his family home. Highly recommend this tour. Excellent value. It was a nice break between typically touristy days in Galway. Bring a small knapsack with a sweater and light rain jacket and good flat walking shoes, No washroom aboard the coach. Use the restroom at the bus station before departing. Don’t miss the gift shop at Ashford castle. Some very unique little gifts to bring home. Thank you Doron and apologies for the delayed review. We will never forget the memories from your tour! Best to you...Mark and Sheila

Guide was friendly and informative. Really knew his history and was a native so had grown up with much of the history either personally or through family. Was willing to answer any question on Ireland we had as well, not just tour material. The tour material was interesting and we were able to see many historically significant and visually impressive ruins and locations. He was even able to point out what was original and what was restorations.
