I've been walking Dun Laoghaire pier since I was a kitchen d and now I bring my own children... Great view of the town's spires on return leg of journey with Dublin mountains behind... The outward journey is rewarded by a great view over to...More

Kids get bored easily. Having a place to walk to where the beginning and end are within view works well. With over 25 yachts out on the Bay today, our family walk to the Lighthouse on the Pier and back was really lovely.

Best place to go for a walk in Dun Laoghaire. Look out for the seals, they'll appreciate a fish head or two from the local stall and will let you watch their aquatic acrobatics in return. Walk to the lighthouse and back and call into...More

There is nothing I can add to the reviews already posted except that it is NOT a place to be in stormy conditions and people do take risks. Do not try to be one of these.

Pier is very clean, well maintained and well lit in the evening. Several kiosks to get snacks, drinks and ice cream. Beautiful scenery all around. No charge to walk the pier either.

This is one of my favourite places to walk. Right beside the sea with the smell of the sea it is a most relaxing place I have ever been.

Enjoyable walk and something I do on every visit to Dun Laoghaire. It is a tradition, followed by another one....a Teddy's ice cream!

A favorite. A lovely walk along the pier, which although it took a hammering from Ophelia, is still an engineering wonder. Go right to the very end and treat yourself to a 99 in Teddys. Be prepared for a cold sea wind so hats, warm...More
