- William LLondon, United Kingdom46 contributionsWatt a Great Play, Performance and TheatreLast Wednesday evening my wife and I went to see Watt at the Pavillion Theatre and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The play was an adaptation of a Beckett novel, performed by acclaimed actor Barry McGovern. The production was excellent in every way as was the theatre. This was our first visit to the venue and we will return soon.Thank you so much William, we're glad your first experience at our venue was such a positive one! Please return soon.Written 12 March 2020This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited March 2020Written 11 March 2020

National theatre tours, local groups and international cinema make sure that there is always something worth seeing and the facilities are more than adequate. Would happily recommend.Thank you for the lovely review Ger! As you say, we try to cater to a broad range of interests here and we really appreciate the acknowledgement. We went as a family to see splash test dummies at the weekend. It was a great afternoon out, the staff and facilities at the theatre are great and really easy to access. We will be back. Thanks

Not for the first time we enjoyed another evening at the Pavilion Theatre. This time to see a Beatles tribute band. It’s a wonderful small theatre. Modern but warm and welcoming. The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to provide an enjoyable experience.
At €25 for front row seats we had a great time at a bargain price. Easy parking yards away.

This is my local theatre and I have been many times and had many lovely and inspiring evenings with European baroque groups, Martin Amis, comedians, live radio and films. The place just works - nice seating, good sound and never disappointing. Nicely situated in Dun Laoghaire's seafront and echoing the old Pavilion Gardens building, we are lucky to have such a resource nearby.

My wife and I went to see a comedy show. As I have a balance problem, we asked for early access to our booked seats. We also asked to transfer our seats to the other side if the theatre because of neck problems. We'll... the staff could not have been more helpful. They were friendly, approachable, helpful, full of suggestions, and unhurried in trying to get the best for us. One even came to us at the break to enquire if all was well. The theatre itself is well appointed with easy viewing on the centre stage area. Yes, we would highly recommend the place, and we will return

Moving Hearts concert was Brilliant. I used to go every week to see them in the Baggot Inn. Classic sound of Davey Spillane and Keith Donnell on the wild wind instruments. El Maestro Donal Lunny gently conducting a 9 piece band of legendary status.May we see them again and again...

Pleasant and helpful staff. With a good rake on the seating so everyone gets a good view of the stage. But OMG, there is not enough leg room to sit comfortably. My knees were rubbing up against the seat in front of me and my son was getting cramps because he was unable to move. A lovely venue is ruined by shoddy design. How did this get past the planners? I would be very reluctant to return.

Thank you for coming to Pavilion Theatre, and your kind words about our staff and great sightlines in the auditorium. I am sorry to hear you had a poor experience with respect to the seats at the venue. We suggest that, where availability allows, patrons requiring additional legroom seek out rows A, H, N, R or S when booking.

A lovely local cinema experience from start to finish. There’s a bar there also. The films shown are just wonderful, a lot of foreign films.

Hi Olivia, delighted to hear you got sorted with your seats! Given that this is a sit-down interview we would also recommended the second row in this case.
Enjoy the event.
