About
Mc Kennas public house is one of the hidden gems of Dun Laoghaire. most people do their business on Georges St, Patrick St, Marine Road or on the seafront. Mckennas is a neat small pub- more like a living room than a German beer hall. The staff are very attentive and personable.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

McKenna is a must if in Dun Laoghaire with friends or family. It’s a hidden gem. It’s got a bar at the side, which has music on different nights of the week.
It’s got a beautifully decorative lounge and is great for sports events on the TV

Arthur & his team make you feel very welcome always - It's comfortable, warm with a subtle hint of opulence too - Pizza can be ordered if you're peckish, the pints are always first class - The finest hostelry in Dún Laoghaire if not South County Dublin.

I’ve been here a couple of times for a drink with a friend. It’s very lively- certainly on a Friday evening. It’s a friendly place with a great selection of gins. Well worth popping in for a quick one (or two).

McKennas is off the beaten track for most visitors to Dun Laoghaire but there is a well worn path to it for locals and those in the know. It is the best pub in Dun Laoghaire by a country mile. Both the Lounge and the bar were packed with people of all sorts. Beers, wines, proseccos and spirits being happily swilled by the clientele. The lounge may be the preferred destination for visitors but like most establishments it's bar is the true heart of the place. The live music had the place rocking and it's more raucous, earthy appeal is irresistible. McKennas is located on Wellington St. Check it out!
