A great bar in Temple Bar that is busy but not ovner crowded like the rest of the area. Great for tourists and local alike. Always brilliant live music, friendly staff and great atmosphere.

Visited here on our first night in Dublin. Had a great time. However, beware of people trying to take your pint. Someone thought it was a bit of a laugh, but at the prices charged, I didn't think so. Wouldn't put me off going back again though. Great atmosphere

From the outside this place isn’t very welcoming, it’s a bit of a dive to be honest. Inside though it had a great atmosphere and the music from the live bands was awesome. We were in Dublin for the Foo Fighters gig and along with the rest of the customers we loved the place - if you love rock music, this is the place to go.

Have been going to the mezz/downstairs in the hub for years. My gf Left a jacket in the cloakroom after a night and went in almost 2 weeks after to see if they still had it.. they did! Recognised it straight away. So helpful and so good to hold onto the jacket somewhere safe after we had forgotten to collect it. Legends!

Like most of the places in Dublin the hype vibes here were super fun, the music was great but the location and look of the place run on the sketchier side. I ended up meeting a group of solo travelers in my hostel that I went with but probably wouldn't recommend the spot if you are by yourself. Honestly, you could probably skip it and not of really missed out on anything; to be real, if you are going to over pay for a cocktail or beer might as well do it somewhere with a little more to offer than just the possibility of having a good musician in that night.

This place used to be a good laugh, but now it's extremely expensive and the staff change has made it unpleasant.

Pretty loud bar (with club downstairs) that works late and perfect for people who wants to grab a beer on weekdays.

The Mezz was once upon a time my favourite bar to drink in. Although being in Temple Bar it wasn't a tourist trap or a rip off. It was just an honest to goodness dive bar.

Things have changed however. They recently "done the bar up" and then tried to turn it back to being a dive bar but the charm was lost in the refurbishments. They seem to aim their business at hen and stag parties now and have no consideration for regular customers.

Now let me address the toilets, they were always awful. I've been at more pleasant portaloos at festivals. Somehow since the refurbishments they are worse and the smell now seeps through the bar.

Don't be fooled by the Mezz's persona. It may seem cool and alternative but it's now just another tourist trap in Temple Bar selling low quality alcohol at over the top prices.
