A cracking museum with enough stories and homage to not just the roots of Ireland in music, but the association of music in general with the location and the recording studios. Alan, our guide, was a genuine comedian who had me interested but laughing throughout, a credit to your crew. A must see for anybody, no matter the level of enthusiasm in music.
Hi Jonathon Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We're delighted you enjoyed your tour with Alan. He definitely is a very witty and knowledgeable storyteller. The tour thrives on the stories that the company has collected and experienced during its time in the heart of Dublin city, so we're really glad that you enjoyed them. What can I say, a very special treat on our daughters 21st birthday weekend. Alan our guide was the a pure delight from start to finish, his knowledge and humour was second to none. Don’t be put off by the touristy aspect - it’s amazing
Our visit to the museum, led by Alan, was a real highlight of our weekend in Dublin. If you have any interest in music at all, you have to go! Alan was super friendly, kind and knowledgeable and the final room full of Thin Lizzy memorabilia was a true highlight. My partner even got a go on the guitar and it was all ‘strung’ (!) together nicely by a great video recounting the top Irish music artists and bands. I was hungover and I still had an amazing time - that tells you all you need to know.
Hi Holly Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We're delighted you had such a good time on your tour with Alan. He really is a gifted storyteller. We welcome Thin Lizzy fans with open arms. We're glad you got to play the guitar in our Jam Room! If you took any photos of your visit we'd love for you to share them with us online. Fantrastic !
Bryan our guide was so interesting, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. This was the highlight of our break in Dublin. The museum holds actual instruments, clothes etc. from musicians like Phil Lynott, U2 etc. Bryan was able to engage our group, a mixture of ages nationalities and amaze us with his inside knowledge. Highly recommend visiting.

    Informative and Fun
Really enjoyed my experience at the Irish Rock ‘N’ Roll museum. Our tour guide Alan was extremely engaging with the group and provided us with entertaining background on all the Irish artists who recorded in the studios. The story behind how they acquired a very famous singer’s pyjamas was also hilarious. Would definitely recommend to my friends.

    An amazing place to visit
Alan the tour guide was amazing and has so much musical knowledge of the various artists who’ve played and recorded here. You can go into the studio where U2 recorded. See lots of memorabilia from Irish singers and bands who you didn’t even realise were Irish. An amazing place to visit even if you’re not very knowledgeable about Rick and roll. You will be when you come out

    Rock and Roll!
Such a fun experience and tour, and a great way to learn about Dublins rich music history. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and even gave us a show on the guitar. The tour was about an hour, and you are able to grab a pint at the bar attached and bring it with you as you move from exhibit to exhibit.
Hi Kaitlyn Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We're delighted you had such a good time on your tour and learned more about Irish music history. Alan the legend
So we decided being rockheads/metalheads that we would see what Dublin had to offer during our stay. I can honestly say this was the highlight of my stay in Dublin. Alan came into the bar area sat down casually looked around and said “hope this tour starts soon” which we all replied “so do we” he then introduced himself as the tour guide which was a brilliant ice breaker. I will not spoil it for others that have not been but the tour is amazing and full of all sorts of rock history. Alan was funny, clever and more to the point VERY knowledgable and passionate about the whole tour. His sense of humour meant the tour was never boring…… the way he tells the Michael Jackson pyjama story will always be embedded in my mind. His knowledge of what you see and why it’s there is second to none and like I say his passion for what you learn is again second to none. Like I say I will not spoil what you learn and see for anyone but if you’re into rock in the slightest this is a must in Dublin! I will do it all again when we next visit Dublin. I would also say if you have a talent of playing an instrument you will also love a certain part of the tour. Overall 10/10 for this tour. Again many thanks to Alan for making it the best tour of our stay and in the words of Alan “ Music brought a room of strangers together to experience something special” and that we did! Get yourself there and enjoy it Daz
Hi Dazzman81 Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We're delighted you had such a good time on your tour with Alan. He definitely is a very gifted storyteller and has a wealth of knowledge. We'll make sure to pass on your compliments to him. We always welcome music and rock fans with open arms to the museum and would love to welcome you back one day! We hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Dublin. The Irish rock and roll museum, a must see when visiting Dublin for any music fan.
Absolutely loved this place! It’s a must see for any music fan. Big shout out to our tour guide Alan who was not only knowledgeable but made us all feel welcome. You could see the passion he had for music and it turned the whole experience up to 11! ( if you know you know lol) highly recommend if you are visiting Dublin, you won’t be disappointed.

    A must visit!
A must visit when in Dublin! What a fantastic collection of music memorabilia- who knew so many amazing artists came from Ireland. Our tour guide Alan is one of the nicest humans I have ever met! He got to know everyone by name and his story telling of the displays and the artists was fascinating- you can clearly see he is passionate about music and it’s hard not to feel the same when listening to him. We got to have a little jamming session in one of the practice rooms that the like of U2 and The Cranberries have practiced in - I also got to see my boyfriend drum for the very first time which was real treat. Thanks Alan for an amazing experience.

Had a really enjoyable visit to the museum this week and I would highly recommend the tour to anyone who is a fan of Irish music (Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, U2, The Pogues, Sinead O'Connor, The Cranberries and more) or even music fans that just want to learn more about Irish rock n roll. Alan, who guided us through the museum was absolutely fantastic, a very witty and knowledgeable man who really made the tour. Loved the story behind Michael Jackson's pajamas! If you want to know why they are framed on the wall of the museum - well, you have to grab a ticket and find out!

It was also great to see all of the Thin Lizzy memorabilia including the iconic Fender Precision bass belonging to Phil Lynott.

I'll definitely be back and recommending this place to my music loving friends.

Brilliant tour around the Irish Rock Museum by our tour guide Alan. He was so knowledgeable with a wealth of obscure and astute facts about the history of Irish Rock & Roll, and the history of music in general. He was also very funny! The museum itself was great, with a lot of memoribilia, different rooms, studios, a little movie to watch and some merch at the end; however, it was the stories and jokes from the tour guide that I will remember most. Fantastic tour!
