Engaging tour with knowledgable guides, Bernard and Mick. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Replica weapons really brought things to life. Very interesting discussions about life in Dublin's tenements at that point in history, and how revolutions don't happen in countries where the people are content. Also appreciated the emphasis on women's roles and how history has edited them out.

We did this tour of a Saturday morning. Bus was full. I think Bernard was name of guide and he was excellent. Full of knowledge, made it interesting, and asked were we following him and the story. We could ask questions. This would be brilliant for class trips as it gives a more interesting perspective. We got out a Dublin... More

We were the only "locals" on this tour, which was jam-packed with information and stories about such an important part of our history. I particularly liked the was our guide told the "left-out" parts of the story, for example the role of women in the Rising. This could easily be gimmicky, but thankfully it was an interesting way to spend... More

I was fortunate to get an exclusive tour due to the fact that a group had prebooked their tour and two vehicles were at the start; one for the prebooked group and one for me as a sole walkup. I was hosted by Bernard and Mick and they provided a detailed and very informative tour of some of the 1916... More

This was an interesting and informative tour which took in a number of locations around the city which were part of the 1916 story. There was great detail in the tour and it really did bring the story to life. As well as being a bus tour, there are also examples of military equipment and clothing to see and handle... More

Took the 12 noon tour that started from Merrion Square West. Two elderly gentlemen dressed in the uniforms of the Irish Volunteers from the 1916 Uprising then led the tour. The tour guide showed pictures and maps about the uprising on the TV screen while he explained the history. He even showed decommissioned rifles and pistols representative of what was... More

My girlfriend I took the tour rwo days ago and are so glad we did. Bernard was our guide and he brought that week 100 years ago to life for us. He has amazing knowledge of the time, the people involved famous or not, the locations, the timeline and even the weapons and the significant roles that women played in... More

I saw advertisements of this tour on my first day in Dublin and felt like the concept was really cool. I was really lucky in a way that I was the only person on the tour during my time slot! All the other time slots on that day seemed to had around 5 to 10 people. Therefore, it was basically... More

Arriving at the converted army truck, you know this will be a different tour. Met by our guide in his “army uniform” we were told about the tour, and then introduced to some of the weapons used in the rising – some of which we could hold. The tour proper started as we headed up past St Stephen’s Green and... More

We went on this tour in December as we were on a trip down from Derry and it was absolutely fantastic. My fiance's dad has read loads of books on the rising and so this trip was great for him. Bernard even offered him a job for a laugh as he knew so much about it! His mum also really... More
