- Helen BUxbridge, United Kingdom781 contributionsWorking distillery visitWe enjoyed learning all about the whiskey making process and the history of Teeling as well as ebbs and flows of the Dublin whiskey industry. The guide was very engaging and enthusiastic bringing the story to life well. This is a working distillery so you get to see the magic happening including the fermentation and distilling, maturation is too hazardous to do in the middle of the city. At the end of the tour we had a guided tasting of a Teeling whiskey and had a mixed drink. There was an option to taste three whiskeys and we should have gone for this, as we had the City Pass we wren't sure if we could upgrade. Thanks Helen for your very nice review on your time here with us. - kaydeeking19Portsmouth, United Kingdom26 contributionsWhiskey tastingCame here for my partners birthday, we had never heard of the distillery before so thought it would be good to try. It didn’t disappoint, the guide, Felix, was great, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. The whiskey itself was good, we tried 3 whiskeys and could definitely tell a difference, even if you’re a beginner you can distinguish a difference and pick out some flavours listed. Thanks for teh kind review on Felix, his tour and the whiskeys. Glad you got to enjoy the Trinity tasting. - Jane B5 contributionsAn up close look at the processPerfect thing to do during a rainy afternoon in Dublin. Although it was his last tour of the day, Brian was enthusiastic and made sure we had a fun time. I really enjoyed learning about the triple distilling process that makes this whiskey different than some others. Also learned that one of your nostrils is keener at smelling than the other!Im happy to hear that you enjoyed Brian's tour and even though it was his last tour, he was still enthusiastic :) Madeleine Customer Experience ManagerWritten 10 May 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 May 2023
- stephb68Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida65 contributionsFun way to learn about the history and production of Irish whiskeyThis is a fun and informative tour on the history and making of Irish whiskey. Our guide, Rory, was very friendly and knowledgeable. This is an actual working distillery, so you get a more hands-on feel than the Jameson tour, which is more theatrical, but also enjoyable. A tasting at the end was nice. Thanks for the feedback on your time with us. Good background of this young company. Three tastings available, catering even to non-whisky drinkers. Thanks a million for your kind feedback and 4 stars. - KellyEngland, United Kingdom90 contributionsIrish distillery tourThis was a lovely tour with a lovely host called Sophie (I believe). The tour was really informative but for me and my preference there was too much time spent in the area with the stills. It was really hot and quite overwhelming. We opted for the option to include a cocktail and one whisky taster. We asked what was in the cocktail but she said she’d say after talking the other four people through their drinks. This wasn’t great for us as we then had to wait for everyone to drink their drinks prior to us knowing what was in what we were currently drinking. As I started the review with it was a lovely tour and this is was our 2nd visit- would I go back… probably not but my husband would.Thank you for the great feedback on Sophie's tour and happy to hear she was a lovely host. The stills can be warm at times as we are a fully functioning distillery but i do understand this point. Thanbks for the feedback and hopefully we will see you and your husband again Madeleine Customer Experience ManagerWritten 2 December 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 November 2023

Nice tour , very nice and funny guide (Brian, you deserve a raise!) , we enjoyed the information , the smell and taste of the whiskey, in my opinion, this was the best distillery tour we did in Ireland (although in Scotland we had better…)

Recommend this experience even as a non whiskey drinker. Great experience with my friend whilst visiting Dublin for the weekend. Was surprisingly interesting for someone who doesn’t have a lust for whiskey. We had a great tour guide Gary who was the perfect balance of being informative and having a great level of dry humour. Bar serves a brilliant Irish coffee among other coffees. Nice clean space with a cafe attached for lunch.

My wife and I went to Teeling Distillery in the end of November and had a truly great time there. The tour was very interesting and informative. We were warned that the production site would be loud and busy, and it was, but what whould one expect from the living heart of the distillery? It was actually quite invigorating to see whiskey making process.
Out tour guide Lorien was absolutely fantastic, witty, and lovely. She was very knowledgeable about Teeling whiskey and history, answered all our questions, and gave some interesting insights and quite a few laughs.
Our tour ended with the premium tasting. We had our share of Teeling whiskey previously, so were a bit afraid that the tasting wouldn't surprise us. On the contrary, the whiskey was very unique and the choice was quite diversified. There were some interesting distillery exclusives like vermouth or Portuguese red wine finishes. We were very pleased.
Quick word about the bar. It had a vast array of Teeling whiskey to try out before deciding to buy a bottle or two.
Overall it was a very nice experience. Definitely, going to visit again.

Brian gave the very informative tour.
Walked through the distillery and got great detailed explanations. Great to see the distillery doing interesting things.
The whiskey was smooth and even got some drinking tips.
Quiet time is best to get a full tour and ask all the questions you want.
For new whiskey tasters, the cocktail is a great start for experiencing the flavors and possibilities with whiskey.

We will be in Dublin 13-16 of December. Since we are 16 persons, do we need to book the tour in advance? Thanks

It's better, cause they have lot of people going there. Maybe 16 persons you could also have a private tour, just ask them. Normal tour it's 25/30 persons max.
Wieso steht keine Uhrzeit bei den Datum dabei? Wann soll man gehen?

We will be visiting Ireland early May but will be staying about an hour from Dublin and will be driving. Is there parking at the distillery or is there somewhere to park and access public transportation to there?

Headed to Dublin in early september and would love to do the tour at teeling. Does teeling make a whiskey that you can only purchase at the distillery? Such as a distillery edition.
Teeling Whiskey Distillery

Hi Chris,
Apologies for the delay in response. We do indeed. We have a few different options. We've just recently released our new Distillery Exclusive Whiskey which can only be purchased in the distillery. You can also get a personalised label produced for it in our Gift Shop. We also have a Fill Your Own option where you can actually fill your own bottle of whiskey from the cask. Hope that answers all your questions, looking forward to welcoming you in September!

Just wondering what the menu of the cafe is, as I can't find it on line. I work locally and visited the distillery during the week, did the tour, which was brilliant, but did not have food.

Although we didn't eat anything at the cafe, my recollection was there were baked goods (scones, etc.) and some light salads and sandwiches. The tea was awesome.

Is the bar where the tastings take place accessible to someone who hasn't paid for the tour?id like my husband to do the tour and I'd join him for the tastings or for a drink at the end. I've a bad back and too much standing still at a tour would really hurt.

I think it is possible when you ask it up front. However the tour is not longer than 45minutes. And you walk in between. When you discuss it up front it might be possible to bring a chair with you!
