I like the Gaiety. My grandmother danced there in the 1930s; one of my earliest memories is eating an ice-cream at a (forgotten) pantomime. HOWEVER... We queued up for a drink in the interval last night, and were served with about 2 mins to go...More

We happened to walk past a couple of hours before the show, ART, and booked two tickets which at EU50 each were extremely overpriced for a 1 1/4 hour production. We only bought the tickets because Nigel Havers and Stephen Tomlinson were starring in it....More

Went to see a serious play, Hedda Gabbler, which was very good. Also went to experience the theatre itself. It is really a beautiful venue. Go if you can, theatres need to be supported and this one is glorious.

The English National Theatre returned to Dublin with this modern version of Ibsen's "masterpiece". Really I don't this was up to scratch. Acting was midiocre by cast members. Set design bland , and the playing of Joni Mitchell song once was fine, but to repeat...More
