Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Did 3 tours with the yellow umbrella guides. Informative and fun. Ideal way to get a feel for the city on our first day.

Over the course of our afternoon walk, Kevin shared with us his pride and enthusiasm for the city of Dublin. His depth of knowledge really enriched our experience and he tailored his tour to our interests, showing us fascinating spots that we would never have found on our own. His love of Yeats poetry led to a moment I know I will never forget. We are Americans and we enjoy spending time with local people wherever we go, hoping to get a glimpse of what it’s like to come from a completely different background. Our time with Kevin was a highlight of our visit.

Listen Now Again: Kevin is Probably the best walking tour guide in the whole of Ireland.
As an added bonus, Kevin will quote from his repertoire of great Irish Poets, W.B Yeats, Becket, Brendan Keneally, And the man himself Seamus Heaney - Do not be afraid, if you are interested in GAA or Rugby Football, you are in for a special treat. Our tour came alive when Kevin realized we also had strong connections with Counties Sligo and Mayo - NOLI TIMERE -
Kevin is so informed it is unreal . . . . I have no hesitation in rating Kevin my #1 tour guide not only in Ireland but all of northern Europe.,

For the quintessential Irish experience, everyone should go on one of Kevin’s tours.

We started at trinity college, experienced the book of Kells, all the while listening to history and tidbits of Irish culture. We also stopped in a bookstore with roots dating back to James Joyce.

We’ve been coming to Dublin for a few years now, and this has been the first time we got a local feel of the culture. For those seeking a slow and thoughtful pace, this tour is perfect.

In early March, my husband Jim and I took a full-day walking tour of Dublin with Kevin. It was wonderful. Kevin has an amazing knowledge of the city and its culture, politics, literature, history, art and landmarks. He took us to a terrific and non-touristy pub that is one of his favorites. Kevin also gave us recommendations for several great restaurants and for Dublin places of interest to see on other days of our stay. In the weeks before the trip, he sent us suggestions for Irish literature by contermporary and past authors and links to important news websites as well as ideas for one-day excursions. Most of all, we totally enjoyed Kevin's company. Besides being knowledgeable and interesting, he has a wonderful sense of humor.

Our friend found Kevin through TripAdvisor and booked him for a 3-hour tour of Trinity & some of the surrounding areas in Dublin. Our friend got sick and couldn't complete the tour, but my husband and I continued around with Kevin and we loved him. He's very knowledgeable about Ireland's history. He is very personable and friendly. We highly recommend Kevin!

My husband and I had limited time in Dublin so we booked a private tour with Kevin. We learned so much more about the city, the culture, and politics with him as our guide than we would have on our own. He is very knowledgable on a wide variety of topics and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He also gave us great suggestions on restaurants and other interesting activities to make the most use of our time in Dublin.

My wife and I had a wonderful 3+ walking tour of Dublin with Kevin which we thoroughly enjoyed. I am a first generation Irish-American (Mom is from Cork), but never learned in-depth Irish history. The tour, including Kevin’s patience with our questions, went a long way towards filling that knowledge gap. If your interest is in a large group shallow tour, please consider other tour options besides Kevin. If your interest is in a great dialogue with a knowledgeable tour guide, Kevin is your go-to person.

Dear Chris. I am deeply humbled on reading your lovely comments on the tour. It is a great honour and privilege to welcome guests to this wonderful city and to pass on what little knowledge I have to help you  achieve a greater  insight into and understanding of Ireland past and future. All in an uncomplicated, enjoyable manner. If that's possible with Ireland!! A sincere thank you to you and your good wife or taking the time to write your beautiful words. It means an awful lot to me. I feel will our paths will cross again and until that day,  take good care of yourselves. Warmest regards. Kevin

My Husband, son and I had a private walking tour with Kevin.
Kevin is a passionate, knowledgeable and lovely person to spend the afternoon with.
He took us through so much history of Dublin along with a lovely song and poem.
We stopped for coffee and ended up in a Great Irish pub where my son had his first real Guinness!
Highly recommend taking the time to spend with Kevin and get the real lowdown of the beauty and history of Dublin.
