About
Irish whiskey is fast becoming one of the most popular spirits across the World. The Irish Whiskey Museum, based in the heart of Dublin City in a historic building on Grafton Street, tells the complete and unbiased history of Irish whiskey and its importance in Ireland’s turbulent past. The Irish Whiskey Museum is independent of all whiskey distilleries, offering its visitors the opportunity to taste and experience a huge selection of Irish Whiskey. Whether it’s Single Grain, Malt, Pot Still or a Blended Whiskey, the Museum’s whiskey experts will always be able to help you find the perfect whiskey to suit your palate. Tours take place from 10am-6pm every day, while visitors can experience a variety of live traditional music, storytelling and events every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening until 10.30pm.

We went back in the spring and had a great time. Wife doesn't like whiskey so I had a better time. Wouldn't say this is so much a musum but is a good fun experience. More of a story of the history of Whiskey in Ireland. Still entertaining and well worth a visit. Donal.. like Donald but without the D ;) was funny and knowledgable. Only thing I would say, the tasting bit at the end seemed a touched rushed.. which even Donal said that thats what everyone is there for. Highly reconmend tho and the nice little tasting glass is a great souvenir. Cheers Guys

This was a wonderful experience. Going into it, I thought it would be a typical tour, with just a run-down of history, a bit about making whiskey and then the tasting & blending, which is what I was most interested in. Was I ever wrong. Our guide, Liam, set me straight right away with his energy, enthusiasm and humor. He kept us laughing and made learning about the history of whiskey a truly fun experience. The museum itself is awesome. Lots of themed rooms, which help explain the goings-on at the time. The tasting and blending were a lot of fun. It was a relaxed experience at the bar upstairs, and I thoroughly enjoyed tasting each of the different whiskeys before making my own little bottle. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Dublin.

Worth a visit. We chose the premium tour and the only difference was an extra taste of whiskey and the souvenir glass

The Irish Whiskey Museum is terrific, absolutely terrific. Our guide (sorry I do not know her name) was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She could not have been better. We learned a great deal about Irish whiskey which we wanted to do. They have a splendid shop with Irish whiskey brands that are not available in the United States. Visiting the Irish Whiskey Museum was an unexpected treat on our visit to Ireland.

Liam was a wonderfully energetic and charismatic host. We truly enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot about whiskey and its history. 100% would do this tour again. Try to get Liam as your tour guide, if you can! You will be glad you did.
