Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The driver was very knowledgeable about the area. The views were fantastic, even though there had been fires in the hills up to the day before. We spent our time in Avoca at the woolen mill rather than at lunch in the pub. And Glendalough, as always, was just beautiful!

What a find! Norman is an absolute gentlemen, very charming and personable. The tour he proposes goes off the beaten track and straight away from stop 1 you quickly understand that you won't bump into hords of tourists. We maintained a good pace but there is plenty of time to rest & recuperate along the way. The tour includes the most important sites: Wicklow, Avoca and Glendalough with a bonus: the Powerscourt waterfalls. Hats off to Norman for his passion and for making me feel like the tour was organised just for me. I'll come back on your tour anytime Norman!

This day trip is full of fun and interesting stories from our tour guide Norman, he chatted and told us the history and events of the areas we were visiting during the drive along with the odd joke. The visit to Powerscourt waterfall was stunning, Avoca village was a place of history and charm and Glendaloch is breathtaking.
Overall this is day trip to remember, Normans small mini bus gave the trip a very warm and friendly feel i would definitely recommend it

I booked this tour last-minute as a solo traveler in Dublin; I had been in the city for a few days and was longing for some green spaces. Norman responded immediately and I managed to get on the tour for the very next day! The tour goes through many beautiful sites in County Wicklow and spends just the right amount of time at each. As an added bonus, Norman talks and explains things basically the whole day. Even when we were driving on otherwise unremarkable country roads, he would be saying something interesting about ancient Paleolithic peoples or the history of Irish forests. Norman is every inch the Irish gentleman; he is never boring or intrusive and he is VERY knowledgeable, especially about religious history and the ancient peoples who first settled Ireland. I've never met someone who could so deftly examine the many flavors of Catholic (Jesuit, Benedictine, etc) and summarize their impact on Irish history. He gives a great tour of the Glendalough monastery.

I could go on for a while, but your time would be better spent booking a tour with Norman rather than reading this review! Great day, you won't regret it!

My husband and I took the Avoca Wicklow day tour (we are in our mid 30's) while on holiday and it was wonderful. The tour is on a mini coach (24 passengers max) and Norman was our driver, tour guide, historian, comedian and personal photographer (if requested!). He takes you to the Powerscourt waterfall, Mount Usher Gardens, Glendalough and Avoca along with a few other stops along the way. Overall, the tour was fantastic, the place you go for lunch in Avoca was delicious and Norman is a wealth of Wicklow and Irish history. He gave us a personal tour of the monastery and graveyard, complete with stories and bits of history for some of the graves found there.
My tip is to go on the Avoca mill tour when you stop for lunch. While the tour is short, it is fun and exciting to see the staff so happy to be part of the place.
My highpoints were the Mount Usher gardens (so beautiful!), and our guide Norman's stories.
Another plus is that the admission prices are included in the tour fee! This tour is worth checking out.

This tour is amazing and one of the absolute best deals there is! From the minute we stepped onto the coach, we were on our tour. Norman (best guide ever!!) gave us information on so much, even the buildings on our hotel's street that we hadn't noticed. From there, we spent a beautiful day in the countryside of Ireland seeing waterfalls, lakes, a magnificent garden, Avoca (Ballykissangel location) and the beautiful Glendalough. We were on the tour for nine hours. But most of that time was off the coach. (Such a nice change from the drive-by tours.) Norman kept us entertained, informed and very happy! We had plenty of time to wander, take photos, eat, snack, and enjoy. This tour was a joy to take. I would recommend it to all!! (Oh! Your tour price includes admission to ALL the sights making it an even more impressive value!)

This is a very nice tour (approximately 8-9 hours). Our tour guide Norman was very friendly and knowledgeable. Smaller size group gives it a very personalized feel. Six attractions are included and include all admission fees. Very good price for a day trip. I would highly recommend this tour. They pick up at many Dublin hotels, so it is very convenient. Thank you Norman for a great day...

Imagine yourself on a coach ,driven around County Wicklow and some of the most beautiful parts of Ireland ( Powercourt Waterfall, Glendalough, the "Meeting of the Waters", the Vartry Lakes and in the summer the Mount Usher Gardens). Your driver and guide is Norman, a splendid Irishman in his late 50s who will explain everything you see ,combined with the history and struggles of Ireland in a mode similar to a grandfather telling stories to his grandchildren. Unforgettable. Thank you Norman
