The Literary walking tour was great! Mr. Liddy is an entertaining and fun guide, but he's also very erudite and knowledgable. He read just the right amount of quotes and shared stories about the history, people and buildings of Dublin. The scope of the information we were offered was quite vast – from anecdotes about James Joyce to lesser-known facts about the connection between Dublin and J.R.R. Tolkien. The tour draws connections between certain locations and certain writers or literary phenomenons, therefore creating a whole new perspective on the urban landscape. Overall, the tour was a joyous and informative experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone interested in the literary side of the city.

I have a red face and slightly humbled by your your really lovely review. I'm so delighted with your comments because that was exactly the outcome I was trying to achieve.
Many thanks for taking the trouble to write.
Kind regards

I have used Pat Liddy’s Walking Tours for several years when visiting Dublin with my students. Every time we have the best guides!
This week we had Fiona as our storyteller through Dublin’s past and present. She did an incredible job engaging students and telling stories that were profound and unforgettable, but still kept them quite interested.
Whether a solo traveler, family, or group, I can’t recommend Pat Liddy’s crew enough - from booking to walking, they go above and beyond.
(As a bonus, if you use them, you get 20% off at The Church restaurant which is a great Dublin experience as well!)

Myself and my wife are southsiders born and bred. We moved over 25 years ago and recently had been talking about how it was about time we started appreciating what our hometown city had to offer. I had booked a two night hotel stay for her birthday and one of the recommendations from the hotel was Pat Liddy's Walking Tours.
We booked the Dublin Highlights and Hidden Corners walk. Not really sure what to expect, we turned up and were met by a very dapper man, Pat Liddy, and Micheal M.
Micheal was to be our guide.
The walk was to have lasted 2 hours or so and the time flew by. We visited the GPO, Moore Street, the Italian Quarter, Halfpenny Bridge, Temple Bar, City Hall and finished up at Trinity College.
To two locals the tour wasn't anything particularly new to us but we were very impressed with Micheal's knowledge and his patience in answering the many questions fired his way.
Our group was small, 10 people, which was about as many as cold be accommodated to keep it personal.
For anyone interested, local or foreign tourists, we would highly recommend this.
Give it a go! You might be surprised by what you don't know.

Wonderfully informative and very, very interesting. Pat was entertaining and humorous whilst imparting a huge amount of interesting information. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dublin. Have done several walking tours before but this was the best by far. Thoroughly look forward to doing more tours with him.

Recently completed the "Dublin Highlights & Hidden Corners" tour ran by Ronan and would highly recommend it. The tour took around 2 hours which is the perfect length, covering many of the sights the city has to offer. We had already had a quick walk around the city but the tour itself offered a lot of detail we simply wouldn't have known without it. Ronan's knowledge of Dublin and its history was fantastic, answering any questions that came his way.

The walk was excellent. We had already been to many of the sites and neighborhoods in Dublin, but we have a much better feel for Dublin after our walk with Yvonne. It was a full 2.5 hours with lots of good stories and hidden gems about the history of the city. Highly recommend.

We did 2 separate private tours with Liam: Highlights of Dublin and The Docklands. Both were great and offered different perspectives of Ireland. Liam has an encyclopedic knowledge of Ireland and Irish history and was able to answer all of our questions. At one point during our tour another tour guide overheard him telling us about the Oscar Wilde statue in Merrion Square and he came over to ask Liam questions. We covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time and learned an incredible amount of Irish history. Liam was engaging and humorous and very patient. When we were in the Temple Bar area I really had to go to the bathroom. Liam took us into a pub and bought us some chips so I could use the toilet. He refused to let me reimburse him. Liam frequently offered to take pictures of my daughter and I at various points during our tour and gave us many recommendations for other places to visit during our stay in Dublin. We never felt rushed at any point during the tour and Liam let us spend as much time as we wanted and take as many pictures as we wanted at each location. I would highly recommend the Highlights of Dublin tour on your first or second day in Dublin as a way to get the lay of the land for further exploration at a later time.

I always love walking tours, and our tour guide Michael was not only knowledgeable but incredibly witty. His passion for the history of Dublin was clear as he led us through city center, and kept us hooked with a great ability to tell the stories. Two hours was not enough with Michael, but it was a great overview of Dublin and would highly recommend to others!

The guided walk by Pauline was fabulous. She showed us so much of Dublin and had a story for every place she took us to. She was also very patient when members of our 6 strong group asked questions and at the end we really felt we knew Dublin and its amazing history. She recommended EPIC museum which we visited in the afternoon and could recommend it to everyone. A very interactive tour (which would appeal to teenagers) and was very informative about the emigration of Irish people to every corner of the world

I've heard about Pat's agency from my friend and I highly recommend everyone coming to Dublin to take this walk.
Our guide was Fran and she was brilliant. We started in Trinity college and walked through the whole city center, visited Grafton Street, Dublin Castle, St. Patrick and Chris Church cathedrals and much much more. Fran is very knowledgeable , her story was very interesting, full of historical facts and funny cases.
We did this walking tour with my colleagues who visited Dublin and everybody were very happy about this tour.

Hello we got tickets from the hop on hop off driver. The lady at the desk said daily at 11 but there is no confirmation of that on the ticket. Also can you confirm the length of the tour and where it ends?

If you look up Pat Liddy walking tours on line it will give you the start time.
He does different walking tours so you need to decide what one you want!
They are around 2 hours or so. Best to get in touch or check his web site.
PAT LIDDY WALKING TOURS should get the info you seek. Enjoy the walk, it's worth doing, it will give you an insight into some of Dublin history.

Guten Morgen,

Hello,
Thank you for your question. We run German tours on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays in August. You can find information about these tours and make a booking through our website. Tripadvisor will not let me link you directly, but if you Google "Das Beste von Dublin" our walking tour should be one of the first results.
Kind Regards,
Pat Liddy

Hallo!
Lisa
