You will want to be Irish on more than just Saint Patrick's Day after hearing the brave tale of a uprising known to be doomed from the start but pursued just the same, hopeful beyond hope to spark the rebirth of a nation. Great introduction to the heart of Dublin. Plus, it starts in a pub serving Guinness perfectly poured... More

I found this to be an excellent tour with a great guide, the rain couldn't take away from the experience. Lorcan, the guide has such a passion for the subject and it's quite infectious.

I highly recommend this walking tour before any other touring. It gives a concise history of the 1916 rising while visiting the very spots where history took place. Tour guide is incredible and well versed in history of Rising and Irish history. I was also impressed that guide had an open mind to other perspectives and happily discussed with guests... More

We have just returned to Glasgow after a wonderful time in Dublin to finish off all the things on our to do list, that we did not cover during our visit at Easter. One of the highlights of this visit has to be the Michael Collins walking tour given by Ruairí O'Donnell. Initially disappointed it was not Lorcan as were... More

I learned a lot on this interesting tour of the Easter Rising of 1916. Rory was our friendly and knowledgeable guide. He made sure everyone could hear in spite of the traffic and construction noise, and was patient with the slower walkers. Luckily, we had perfect weather for walking. If you want to know about Ireland's struggle for independence, don't... More

Rory was an excellent guide for this walk. He is knowledgeable, has a good sense of humor, and was conscientious about potential issues with the street noise, traffic, etc. We were a large group and he made sure to engage with all of us. I was delighted.

A very interesting and informative tour. The guide, Rory, relayed a very serious subject with humour. A wealth of information was given to us in a way that was engaging. I would recommend this tour to anyone. If we return to Dublin, we will definitely go on the Michael Collins tour.

This is a great walking tour, Lorcan was a great guide with plenty of little nuggets of information, he really brought history to life while bringing us from landmark to landmark, sometimes stopping to remind us of another anecdote on the way. This tour is perfect if you don't know anything about 1916, and if you do! Lorcan also does... More
