Family and I loved this tour. A great welcome from Lorcan and you could feel the energy from the start! I thought I knew a fair bit about the Easter Rising, however there was so much that I wasn't aware of- Lorcan had us mesmerized with, among other things his knowledge. One of my daughters was particularly interested in the role of women during the rebellion and Lorcan provided much information and sign-posts for further information/ research. This is a gem and as well as being so informative- Lorcan is superbly entertaining! A humble man who brings the 1916 Easter Uprising to life! Thanks again Lorcan you were brilliant and one of the highlights of our first trip to Dublin, of which 'by the way' is buzzing with excitement- we'll definitely be back.

The absolute best historical walking tour. Our guide, Liam, had a deep knowledge of the history and brought the history to life. The commentary was peppered with little known facts, like the Swede and Finn who wanted to help the Uprising for a few days. Liam was willing to answer questions and hung around at the end of the tour. You will appreciate this tour even more if you know basic 1900's Irish history. Otherwise you might feel as though you are drowning in information during parts of the tour. However, the entertaining stories can be enjoyed by all.

This is a must go to tour in Dublin. Arguably the best walking tour I've been on. The guide is so knowledgeable and friendly, he truly has the gift of gab. Make sure you bring cash so you can buy some of his pins and/or books!

A must do for historians, students, or anyone remotely interested in history. Highly recommended for everyone else/first-time visitors to get a taste of Dublin (you should watch the 1996 film "Michael Collins" to get the right context). At the end of the tour, the group was so inspired that we all flipped a police van and charged into the GPO museum...almost.
