I have to admit, I did not know too much about Irish history in detail before I started the tour. But Eion was able to explain everything in context and with a lot of interesting side stories, which made it extremely interesting and fun to listen. I really got hooked on learning more about the Irish struggle through this tour.... More

I found this tour to be very educational and enjoyable. Our guide Rory initially spoke for about 20 minutes on Ireland's history since the 12 th century. This created the context for the 1916 rising. We visited some of the key sites from the rising including the GPO and Moore Street. Rory was very knowledgeable and well able to answer... More

I only had two days in Dublin so my time was at a premium. This tour lasted two hours but if it had taken much longer I would not have minded. Our tour guide Oein (pronounced Owen) was highly engaging and well-versed in the topic. No matter how much time you have when visiting this is a must do!

I took a student group on this tour in March 2017 and he made a rich and complex Irish political history very relatable to us (we are American, so this is not a history we grew up with). He had us laughing at some points, but also told stories that humanized the events. What I loved most was that he... More

Absolutely fascinating tour about the Easter Rising -- Lorcan was a brilliant guide, great craic as the locals say, and brimming with insight and humour. He clearly knew an enormous amount on the subject but managed to combine depth of knowledge with an entertaining narrative. Also shed a lot of light on present-day Dublin. Can't recommend this highly enough if... More

It was a very well done tour. Our guide Eion was very knowledgeable about all the history of the time and made it very interesting. The walk was not hard at all through the town. I would recommend this tour to all who visit Dublin.

Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about Irish history while having a great time. Lorcan kept our group enthralled and has a wonderful combination of strong research credentials and delightful sense of humor. While Dublin may have been chilly/rainy the afternoon of our tour, Lorcan made it a bright, warm and most enlightening experience for... More

My partner and I took the walking tour with Lorcan, who catered for our small group (three in total - though it deserves a much bigger audience) by finding out what we each we interested in and tailoring the tour to match. Lorcan was fantastic, very warm, didn't hesitate to answer questions and extremely knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend... More

I took the 1916 walking tour with Rory. He made it such an enriching experience. We enjoyed every bit of it, and Rory had an answer to all the questions we had. I definitely recommend it.
