Awesome interactive music
Oct 2019
My friend and I were walking around the Temple Bar area of Dublin when we heard their music at Hely's. The musicians saw us listening through the window outside and invited us in for the performance. It was interactive and included lyrics for all of the folk music that was played so we could sing along. Awesome way to spend our last night in Ireland.

Best Dublin experience!
Sep 2019
This was actually unexpected. We found it walking by the street and I'm so happy we got inside!
We attended a full class last Wednesday and it was the best experience we had in Dublin city so far.
It wasn't just entertainment. It was highly informative and dressed with a bit of storytelling here and there.
Steve was a great teacher as he actually taught us how to play a bodhran (I have one home and I struggled for years to learn how to handle the kepeen, until I finally attended this class). He and the other performers were also great ad handling the noisy people sitting next to us and other disturbances. There were some rude people indeed among the audience but thanks to the artists they didn't ruining our great evening.
The last bit was great traditional songs to sing along with.
The class is free but I highly recommend leaving an offer at the end. It's highly deserved.
My fiancée has never been a huge fan of Irish music until this experience. Now that's all he talks about!
We'd do it again tomorrow if we could. Thank you guys!

Fun
Sep 2019 • Couples
We were invited to come in and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and ended up staying longer than expected. Fun music with a bit of Irish history thrown in the mix.

A fun-filled evening of music!
Aug 2019
I found out about their bodhran workshop via a web search before my trip to Dublin, so I had it on my calendar--and it was even better than I expected! Denny was a warm, inviting and humorous instructor, as well as a fine musician on multiple instruments. Everyone got to try their hand at drumming, and I hadn't realized the evening went into a sing-along as well.

The entire pub-full of us had a great time! Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys traditional music.

Fantastic night!
Jul 2019 • Family
We were walking about trying to find some local Irish music and stumbled upon Heley’s Pub as there were sonorous voices coming out the open window. This was the best night of of our 3 day stay in Dublin. The performers put all the songs into context and handed out a lyric book so we could all join in. The crowd was a group of folks from all over the world and everyone was engaged in the performance. I highly recommend!

fantastic Irish band that really interacts with its audience. Learning the bodhran was fun and the band members took the time to show proper technique which really added to the experience.

Bodhran Experience with Danny & friends
Feb 2019 • Business
In February I was in Dublin and had three wonderful weeks at Linguaviva.

This was the fifth time for me to take English-lessons at Linguaviva, but the very first time I took "lessons" how to play the Bodhran.

It was so funny and the three guys from Irish Folk Experience made it very easy to explain and made the group playing with band after a while.

Some students of Linguaviva went also to this event so we had some days after a lot of fun talking about this evening.

Thank you for beeing a part of history, because the Bodhran is an "old", but everytime "new" instrument.

!!!!! Mondays and Tuesdays at Hely's Bar Dame street from 7pm. !!!!!!!

Good experience with great guys
Feb 2019 • Friends
We had two authum evenings, where we get the chance to play the bhodrans by hearing good traditional Irish music. We had great fun! Denny, our great tour guide, and his friends did a good job.
Thanx for all!
