Very popular spot - very crowded

Porterhouse is a pub that serves their own beers, so you can come here for drinks or for food. The brewing is not on site, there are about 4 floors of restaurant seating and a stage for live music. You will likely have to go up a few floors to find some seating and then flag down a waitress. Its worth a visit if you enjoy trying local beers. None of their beers are crazy unique, mostly IPAs or stouts. I enjoyed the oyster stout the most.

Lunch stop on our first day in Dublin.
Great choice of beers.
We had the sharing platter which was good value and really filled us up. Good fast service.

It’s okay for drinks and food

We went to the FX Buckley before this and we didn’t know they serve their steaks here too. So our expectations were high after we saw that at the Menu. I already had the steak sandwich at FX Buckley. So we ordered it here again. It was definitely not as good as at FX Buckley... we ordered it medium rare and it was done. It was still good but just not as good as in the main restaurant. We were a little disappointed. The drinks were good though.

Good dinner option, local brews

We tried The Porterhouse Brewing Co (PBC) for dinner on our first night in Dublin. It was a long day, we weren't looking for anything fancy. PBC had a nitro red brew that was really good. My wife had a mixed drink. Good start to the end of our day of travels.
The wings as an appetizer followed by burgers was just what we needed.
PBC is not fancy, but is sure a brewhouse with tastey food. Just what we wanted, and enjoyed.
Recommend PBC if it is what you are looking for while enjoying this area of Dublin.

Great beer, food and service

We had heard about Porterhouse on a video while preparing for our trip to Dublin and planned to make a stop to try the Plain Porter. We stumbled upon it and decided to stop for lunch and a beer, and were not disappointed. The Celebration Stout was excellent, as was the porter and lived up to its hype. The beef and porter stew was also excellent, very tender and flavorful. Our waitress Maria was top notch and gave us a few samples of other beers to try as well. We will definitely be back to try a few other beers before heading back to the states.

Experience & + Food

Layover day - popped in for a meal and was so pleased with salmon, potatoes and green beans. It was really a top ten dish. In addition the place is like a museum with beer displays throughout. I’d seek this place out again for my next layover in Dublin.

We came here for an early afternoon drink and brownie. Brownie was delicious and the range of beers was amazing! They had one of my favs Gulden Draak (In large wine bottle size) and my hubbys fav Delerium. Nice atmosphere and the interior was very quirky. Worth a trip!

HUGE beer selection and great food
Jun 2019 • Family
Passed by on our way back from shopping and returned for dinner later that night. What a great place! It is loud and enormous with dark wood fixtures, loads of music posters and a HUGE offering of beers from around the world. We tried a couple of their own beers and were highly satisfied. The food was delicious and the service was very fast and friendly. Our party of 3 was not ignored even amongst many other larger parties.

we bumped into this place without having done much research, and having been knocked back from other venues that were fully booked. This place was busy but managed to find a table overlooking the main road; it's a fantastic labyrinth of rooms and copper piping nestled over several floors.
We ordered quite a bit of food as we were hungry; to our surprise, considering how bust they were, we got served quickly. Even better it was delicious.
Add to these a comprehensive choice of beers and you can imagine we were delighted.
PS: I was on crutches but still managed well! ;-)
