I went to the buff day spa on 10th aug for a Swedish body massage and dermologica facial. Both very pleasant.. no complaints. I also had a pedicure and manicure and was extremely disappointed in these. More so the manicure. They cost €35 and I have to say the manicure itself was very very basic.... my hands were dipped in warm water before my cuticles were done. And at that they were not done properly. Moving on to the shellac at an extra €15. First go my cuticles were flooded and I had to tell the spa therapist (she was lovely I might add but clearly very inexperienced) this had to be removed. I chose a different colour as maybe the colour was off!? But the second attempt of Shellac was almost worse. It’s starts way to far up my nails, my cuticles are half done, my nails are all different shape. It was genuinely the worst manicure and shellac I have ever got done. This was 2 days ago and one has chipped already. Would not recommend this service and would not return as it is over priced to begin with but the actual results are terrible. Pic below of the day they were done. You can see this is a very bad job.

Wasn't really relaxing as it was cold the whole time. The masseuse's hands were cold even though she was rubbing me rigorously the whole time. The pressure also wasn't very high. We asked for more of a deep tissue massage, but it was pretty light still. As soon as it was over my muscles immediately tensed back up to try to keep warm. So kind of a waste of money : Went to warm up in the sauna, but then taking a shower made me cold again because the water was barely above warm and as soon as you turn it off you're cold again because the air is freezing.

The whole experience was great from start to finish. The staff were very welcoming and did everything they could to make the day go as smoothly as possible. We arrived about 30 mins early which meant we could make use of the sauna and the tranquility room. Both my mam & I had the “voyager massage” treatment and it was very relaxing and enjoyable. Special shoutout to Nonkosi and Gillian who were our massage therapists - they adjusted the massages to our specific needs (for example, I asked for extra attention and pressure around the neck and shoulders). After the treatment we were welcomed back with a glass of champagne each which was a lovely touch. Would definitely visit again!

I booked a Spa Treat for me and my sister. The experience was fantastic from start to finish. Hana looked after us really kindly and we had plenty of time in the relaxation rooms which were quiet and tranquil. The mini massage and facial were just what we wanted and were totally relaxing. We were not rushed or overly fussed around. I will definitely return.

Went for a mummy to be package and it really was terrible the massage was like Ross from friends with the old guy no effort put in to it all that happened is I got a lot of oil rubbed on my body. Also they don’t even have a pregnancy massage table which I think you shouldn’t be advertising mummy to be massages if you don’t have the correct equipment. Had to lie on my side and got a sore arm and cramped leg. Not a pleasant experience. The bump wrap was oil rubbed on me then a towel put on it. Hardly a wrap. The facial was fine and she scratched my head for ages dunno what that was about. I’m so disappointed wasted my x mas money on this. I wanted somewhere local but such a waste of money wish I had waited until after x mas and hopefully a loosening of restrictions. Please mummy’s do not waste your money! I left more stressed than I arrived.

Went here for a exfoliation scrub massage, can't remember the name of it, but I didn't enjoy it. The massage therapist was lovely but the pressure that was applied was to tough. I asked her to apply a medium pressure but unfortunately it was still too tough. The place itself is easy to find. I love massages in general but unfortunately on this occasion I won't return here again

We booked a couples massage following an overnight flight from the US. The spa is quaint with the people very friendly and cordial. The therapist were very good. It has everything you would expect from a spa including a sauna, quiet room, showers, etc. great way to spend the first afternoon of our visit to Ireland.

Just home from The Buff Day Spa. Had received a voucher and chose The Buff Half Day Indulgence package. Booked by e-mail over a month ago (11th August) and asked to upgrade the manicure to have Shellac French Polish. This was agreed by e-mail and a total price of €249 given. Was really looking forward to a day of relaxation after a stressful few weeks.
Arrived 5 minutes late. They were very quick to bring me through and was given a robe and shoes and brought into the massage room. The massage was absolutely excellent. Great start. Feeling very relaxed I came out to a different therapist for the manicure & pedicure. It's not a particularly comfortable area and is a little cold and noisy from the street. She asked would I like to choose a colour. I said I was having French Polish on my hands. She looked shocked and asked if I had booked that in. I said yes I had. She went to check. She came back and said it was not on the system. I gave her my e-mail address and told her to check my booking. I stood around for 15 minutes getting cold in my robe while she was gone. Finally the receptionist came in, as clearly the therapist was unwilling to give me the news, and told me there was a mistake with my booking and as the therapists were back to back they would not have time to do the French Polish. She looked at my hands and said that there was also no time booked in for the removal of the shellac polish I had on as if this was my fault for not highlighting I would have polish to be removed. I was very disappointed.
The therapist came back and I picked a colour. She removed my old shellac, pushed back my cuticles, told me to stick my hands in a tiny bowl of water for about a minute, filed my nails and painted them. On one hand she removed old cuticles. Totally forgot to do it on the other hand. So there was
no massage
no scrub
no soakage in oils
no masque
as listed on brochure and website. I presume this was because of the 15 minutes wasted trying to work out my booking so to keep on schedule it was deducted from my treatment. Disgraceful.
Off to the pedicure station. A quick dip in water, some cuticle work and filing. A scrub & moisturiser and a nice hot boot experience. Then the polish.
There was no rasping of dead skin from feet as listed on brochure and website.
Finally into the facial which was the same therapist as my massage. She listened to my issues and really went to work on me. She asked if I wanted a deeper exfoliation for €10
extra which I agreed to. I thought she did an excellent job. Yes she pushes certain products as mentioned in other posts but every salon does this and you can say no so that didn't bother me.
As I changed back into my clothes I had a look at the brochure to see what I had missed out on from what was promised. I have listed these above. I saw there also that if you upgrade to Shellac it includes FREE removal and apparently according to the website free cuticle oil which was never mentioned and I certainly did not receive. And the fact that I was made to feel as if the removal of shellac was my problem that had not been timetabled even-though they list removal is outrageous.
Out I went to pay. The receptionist apologised for the mistake to my booking but gave me a €25 voucher off my NEXT visit. As if. Then she asked me if I had booked a package. Why didn't she know this? I said I did and gave her the name of the package.
She then told me the total was €274 (when I worked this out later it included the French Polish I did not receive - odd how it made it into the bill but not onto my booking).
I said I had been told by e-mail is was €249 and with the extra €10 treatment I had agreed to this would be €259. She asked for my e-mail address and looked this up. She said I was quoted the wrong price but she would give it to me for this price. Apparently doing me a favour even though I did not get what I booked. I handed in my €100 voucher and went to put in my debit card but was told that their card machine was broken and told where the nearest ATM's were. Into the rain to fetch the money I went.
When I arrived back while paying I said I did not receive parts of the manicure listed. The receptionist said she was sorry and would say it to the therapist. What good is that to me now! Then she asked if I wanted a loyalty card. Don't make me laugh.
I feel swindled. I was made feel their mistake was my fault. I'm highly disappointed and think I deserve at least a partial refund which should have been offered as a discount immediately. I do not want to return or use the voucher for another visit and would certainly not give it to anyone else. Deplorable customer service or care.
Everyone makes mistakes and we all deal with that but it's how you deal with it that matters. Dealing with a complaint well can turn an irate customer into a loyal supporter. Not dealing with it makes and irate customer furious and inclined to tell their story repeatedly. What a shame.

The actual massage was really good but men have to wait in lobby To be called for the treatment and women get to go into a tranquility room to relax in a robe and wait. For €95 should be given equal services as it is 2018. Massage was brillaint and would still recommend it.

Hi, i'm on their website. Can you book a treatment and date online without actually buying a voucher?
I'd prefer to check availability, book and then pay on the day.
