About
Welcome to Feelgood Activities the heart of Howth's adventure experience for all your water activity needs both above and below the water. Feelgood Activities was born when it's owner and founder Ralph Brady decided to bring water based activities to a wider audience. Whether it is with Scuba Diving, Kayaking, Stand-Up Paddle-boarding, Powerboating, Eco Tours, Private Tours or corporate beach days. We want to bring the adventure of water based activities to you and help you to experience the indescribable feelings that we enjoy on an almost daily basis. Or as we say, “For those that have never done it, words can’t describe it. For those who have, words aren’t necessary!” Our team share a passion both for the activities we provide and for the environment that they are carried out in and are more than happy to swap stories with anyone. Our fully trained team is completely youth compliant and we are proud to note that we are the only (DDI) Disable Divers Int. centre in Ireland.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great teaching, enthusiastic instructors, small classes which aided learning. Even though the age range in the class varied from 13 to 50 everybody was made to feel equal and comfortable. No complaints. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and helpful, professional team. Made me feel very comfortable doing my PADI refresher after not having done scuba in five years, definitely recommend.

I met Sean for my scuba review in order to restart to dive in Ireland after 2 years I didn’t do it. It was a great experience refresh my skills in the National Aquatic Center. He was very polite and professional and during that day I had the opportunity to go deeply some detail I was missing. Thank s Feel Good Diving to allow me to have that day. Looking forward to go with them into the Irish sea.

I completed my open water certification with FeelGood. I really enjoyed it because I was excited about learning, even if it was a bit unorganised. We were required to drive to their shop in Howth for the book part of the lessons and then drive about 15 minutes away to a pool to do those initial pool sessions. The pool was shared by 1 or 2 other classes and it was a tiny pool - so it was jammed, not really ideal. I wasn't offered a lift between the locations and I don't drive, so fortunately there were other people doing the course who were able to give me a lift. I completed the cert in the summer of 2014 and completed two "dives" with them - one from the shore off of Howth (took a boat there, but could walk to the shore and back into the water) and another in a lake somewhere about 30 - 40 minutes away. Overall I was generally happy with the experience and went on to dive a few other places in 2014 & 2015.
Then I came back to them this August since my husband ordered me a gift certificate. I tried for about a month to get in touch with them via phone, email and text and only the day before did I get any replies from Ralph via text. Most of my questions were left unanswered about their procedures.
When I arrived that day the shop was a bit chaotic, but I expected as much from the course last year. Everyone was really friendly and tried to help me out. Once we got into the boat with our gear and were getting ready to enter the water it seemed like the disorganisation had come with us. The boat driver wasn't aware of when people were entering the water. The scuba guide we hired was told to partner with me by Ralph (twice), but then she told me to dive with someone else once we were on the water. I tried to correct her, but she ignored me (I'm not sure if that was a language barrier, if she didn't hear me over the engines or if she changed her mind for some reason, but I thought the partnering was decided based on experience and I'm a new diver so I was worried when this suddenly changed).
Finally, when we entered the water and I was adjusting my buoyancy, the boat driver was totally unaware of us folks in the water and stayed way too close with his engine propellers on. There was a strong current as well and the vis was really poor. When I was coming back up I realised too late that the boat had moved right above my head and it is only thanks to the dive guide pulling me and pushing the boat that saved my face / head from being sawed off. I was completely traumatised by this and obviously it ruined the dive for me completely (although I was quite relieved to be uninjured). I couldn't wait for it to end. The boat driver came up to me after we got back to the shop and cleaned up the gear to tell ME to be more careful in the future. I will take his advice and never return to this shop for another dive! The vis was terrible that day, so I can't tell you much about the site itself.
I told Ralph about what happened and he said he'd look into it. I haven't heard anything from him and certainly no apologies for the terrible experience. Even if he felt like it wasn't his drivers fault, the customer service here is lacking.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this shop for anything if you can go somewhere else. I'll be looking into other options in the Dublin area if there are any.

Great coastering lesson from Ralph, perfectly tailored to our needs. Ralph is very experienced and gave us some really handy tips and lots of hands on tuition. The scenery and wildlife were great and Ralph was a good host.

Warm welcome, everything provided if you need wetsuit, etc. Our guide Aoife was enthusiastic and attentive, and enjoyed her job as much as we enjoyed the experience. Our safety was ensured at all times with Aoife as our powerboat escort watching over us and watching out for other marine traffic. Ireland's Eye is unexpectedly awe inspiring, layered cliffs, shingle beaches, a cavernous sea cave to paddle in to, grey seals following us like curious dogs, while puffins, gannets, guillemots and gulls wheeled in the sky and sea all around us. In all we spent about 2 hours there and back and paddling around the island. Aoife was patient and friendly, with no sense of hurrying us along, allowing us to enjoy our trip at our own pace, or stop and explore the rocky Island coast. It's a fantastic introduction to sea kayaking, very reasonable rates, great value. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique adventure on our Dublin doorstep.

An Excellent, in depth and professional approach to delivering all the necessary skills in the use of Powerboats. Ralph and Sean are professionals that deliver both theory and practical in a relaxed setting and would strongly recommend the lads. Very enjoyable.Niall R

Good day! I will be traveling to Ireland near the end of this month from the United States of America. I would LOVE to dive somewhere while I am there, if I can. I have Advanced Open Water certifications from SDI/TDI/ERDI. However, do you only dive with dry suits there? I can take a course before I leave if I need to because I do not know anything about diving with a dry suit. I suppose my main objective in contacting you is to find out if you take out recreational divers? Do you only dive in dry suits? What can I do to plan a dive in Ireland? If you can help me in the least I will greatly appreciate your reply. Thank you!! Happy diving!
