Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Highly Recommend for a brilliant day put! Went as s family of 5 (kids age 15, 13 and 10). We all loved it, no arguments, everyone was kept entertained and challenged!! Your allocated slot is 3 hours so felt it was excellent value for money. Can't fault it

I work with St Michael's House with young adults with Autism.
3 of our guys went last week and it was the most amazing experience.
The staff was amazing especially our instructor Gavin who treated the guys with such respect and had the craic with them.
The guys absolutely loved it smiled the whole way through, one of the guys actually drew spongebob ziplining during art.
It was a great sense of achievement for our guys, learning new skills and more importantly they had fun.
We will defiently be back thank you so much , especially Gavin for going above and beyond with your kindness we all really appreciate it.

Exceptional fun. Well organised, safe and helpful guides. Second time here. Enjoyed it last year and came back again. We were early and CJ allowed us to join an earlier group as other had not turned up on time. Guides are genuinely enthusiastic. I used to be a tour guide so i know how bored you can get giving the same speech over and over so i admire them for it.
I will never be a candidate for Ireland's fittest family but was able for orange and white routes. Kids flew through them of course. A good workout and proud of myself that i got over the wobbly crosses.
As you can only carry a bum bag, i would make sure your phone is charged. Can be nippy at that height so i would bring an extra layer. Make sure good grips on runners and they are tied tight. A shoe fell off a girl on a zipwire there.
CJ was also very kind when our taxi did not turn up.

We booked this as a day out for our family of five including three boys aged 12,11 and 9. I think kids take to this quicker than the adults! Personally I'm not great with heights but I was fine on the green and orange circuits, it was white that challenged me (and my fear!) and I was mortified that I had to be rescued by the very calm, capable and pleasant Aaron. I think my main tip for anyone who has poor circulation like me would be to layer up and bring warm gloves as my numb hands proved my undoing in the end. Its colder than you'd think up there in the trees! The kids absolutely loved it, on face value it seems expensive but actually well worth it when you consider you get four hours of wholesome outdoor entertainment out of it. Would definitely go back. They do sell basic snacks on site but a picnic would be a good idea as there are benches dotted around the location.

Hi Eleanor, thanks for the review and well done on pushing your limits even if Aaron had to come to your rescue, nothing like facing a challenge, especially when the 'kids' are watching. Yes, at first we may seem expensive but we work hard to provide the value over the time you are with us, thanks for commenting on this. Hope to see you again soon.

Went with my daughter and we had a great time.
Staff friendly and professional.
Our thanks to JP who provided a few tips and guidance after the initial training. Also being quick off the mark to help when one of us got into difficulties.
Also recommend doing the package that includes the ziplines at end, nice way to relax after the physical side of courses.
Glad we went and will definitely do it again sometime.

We really enjoyed Zipit. It is very well run and all the staff were really nice. The instruction we received before going up was excellent. The tone of supervision is good, staff are keeping an eye without interfering.
My only issue was that we didn't get to start until after 5.45 ( although being there on time) , as a consequence when it came to 8pm the kids were not allowed to go back up, due to closing time. While I understand the rationale, they only got 2 and a quarter hours instead of three and they were disappointed.

Hi Fiona, thanks for the review and observations on our staff. I'm sorry that the kids were disappointed at the end of their session. Our session time has been reduced because of COVID and includes the time spent at the Safety Brief so not everyone is getting to finish unfortunately. We hope to increase to 4 hours again soon. Thanks again.

My friends & I made a trip up to Zipit and enjoyed every minute of it. From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, we had a full safety brief beforehand and there was always someone on hand to answer any concerns we had. I would 10/10 recommend Zipit & a special shout to Eoin for taking care of us for the evening. We will be back :)

Dropped over here for an afternoon out while camping nearby. Was a day out for two adults and a 12 and 9 year old.
Venue has 5 high wire courses of increasing difficulty laid out through the trees in the forest. With COVID, there were significantly smaller groups making for a much easier movement around the courses. The 12 year old could go on all bar the hardest course.
Kids absolutely loved the high wires, climbing and zip-lining around the trees. The three hours absolutely flew. Great value for the afternoon entertainment. Highly recommend a visit for anyone nearby.

Took the kids here today (7 and 13) they had a fantastic time 7 year old was a bit sad that he could not do more, he had to do the same route all the time. 13 year old was able to do alot more, but they both enjoyed themselves very very much. The people working there were very helpful and friendly. The toilets leave alot to desired. But all in all a fantastic day out.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for the review and delighted you enjoyed yourselves. As you know we have age and height limits on all circuits to ensure kids do not find themselves in an unsafe situation. The toilets are an eco friendly solution to being in the middle of a forest with no services and I agree they do not meet usual home standards but do not interfere with the environment either. All in all, I hope you enjoyed yourselves and look forward to seeing you again. All the best.

Went to zipit in July of 2021 with my girlfriend and one her friends and had good time overall. I did most of courses with my gf until the last part was abit to high above my limits but that won't stop me going back. Staff are excellent making sure everything goes well for you and they explain how to stay safe clearly.

My daughter and I will be visiting Dublin and we are wondering how far away this site is And if transportation is provided from a hotel.thank you so much
Written 5 October 2019
Hi there. This is up the Dublin mountains. But the city is close to the hills. I’m not sure if any hotel will provide transportation. But you could get a bus out to Rathfarnham in Dublin 14 (Dublin neighbourhoods are measured in numbers, 1 is city centre north side, 2 is city centre Southside. All Southside numbers are even and north side odd) and from Rathfarnham get a taxi up. That would take 10 minutes. And you could arrange a pickup time or download the Freenow taxi app on your phone which will hail one for you. The guys up at Zipit are SUPER helpful though so I’m sure they’ll help you out. It’s well worth a visit as there’s a beautiful walk as well. Plus your close to Johnny Fox’s pub from Zipit so you could go have a hearty meal there and there’s lots of Taxi’s from there, I think there might actually be a bus back into Dublin City from there. Enjoy Dublin !!

Hi Leighanne,
From our FAQ - please check our website (cannot post links here)
Up to four hours:
Each participant has their harness for a maximum of 4 hours. You will complete the Safety Briefing and, as a guide, 3 circuits within the 4 hours. During busy periods circuits can take longer to complete. If you don’t wish to move on to the next circuit or you have a height/age restriction, then you have the option of repeating the earlier circuits.
You can go at your own pace and let other participants pass you out if you need to take a rest, or are feeling slightly nervous. If you want to have fewer people on the course it is recommended that you book the early slots because it is generally quieter.
Please be aware that the circuit starts will be closed at least an hour before we are due to close the park so if you are in towards the end of the day, check the circuit close times.
Hope this helps,
Zipit

Hi Cupcake, I'm afriad that our Tibradden course is not well served by public transport despite our efforts to lobby Dublin Bus. The best I can recommend is to take the Luas to Dundrum and then a taxi to the course from there.
All the best and thanks for your enquiry.
Written 17 August 2015
Either 161 to rockbrook from dundrum Luas station and then a walk of about 40 mins or get or 44b to Johhnie foxes pub and a walk of 40 mins (a taxi from Johhnie foxes should be €10 or less)

Leggings/tracksuit bottoms or jeans. Long sleeved top a light one for warm weather or a warm one for colder days. runners or hiking boots and depending on forecast either wet gear or sunscreen would advise bringing extra clothes so you can layer up, up there if you need to, it can be cold enough because you truly are heading up the mountains :) definitely bring a picnic and enjoy every minute of your day :)
