We had already had a drink in here prior to going to see a band at the academy just down the road after the concert we returned for a night cap , we attempted to take a seat at the bar , however the “man” behind it asked where are we sitting where have you been have you been drinking , it looks like you have had enough …. Then totally ignored us , I am a general manager for a manufacturing company and my fiancé a physiotherapist, we were not drunk or rowdy , he made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome, we have both traveled extensively and have never encountered such vile treatment and his actions have left us not wanting to return to Dublin ever again , shame on him

During these difficult times, it's nice to get out for a pint and a bite to eat. We went to the Gin Palace last Saturday afternoon. We followed all the procedures and were give a lovely seat. We had soup and chicken wings and 2 pints. Our host was Ross, and I have to say he made me and my husband very at ease. He took the time out of his busy day to chat with us, and we have not been chatting to many people lately, so it was very nice. Thank you for making our day special. Food was tasty too.

I went in here and it was a horrible experience. There weren't many people around, which would make you think that the staff were in a good mood. A balding staff member was really snappy with me and I could feel his aggression. It made me uncomfortable and I drank my pint and left and went up to walshes instead.

told to leave because of the dress code stating that tracksuit bottoms were not accepted even though we were both wearing black jeans a versace jacket, and Michael Kors tops ,very rude and made feel embarrassed definitely don't feel it's a Gay friendly environment once the bar man was educated on our fashion we were allowed to finish our point ,

I had heard a lot about the Gin Palace, and was anxious to visit it for quite a while.I finally got my wish recently when my son took me there on a visit to Dublin. The pub itself has great atmosphere and is dark and cozy,a great place for a chat on a cold winters night.!!!!.Staff were very friendly and the barman and I shared a bit of banter at the counter. As for the product itself I felt like the kid in the sweet shop, what a selection of gin.It was almost impossible for me to pick one out, so large was the selection Eventually with a bit of help from the barman I opted for one of the Waterford products which was nicely presented and tasted beautiful. If quaint bars and gin is your thing dont miss a call to the gin palace.!!!!My only regret was that we were short on time, but be assured we will return.
