The team at Coolmine is amazing. Very safetycentric. I loved the fact that we had a pre-ride assessment in the indoor before we went out.
The horses were very well kept, and happy.
Ger, and Cash took me on a lovely ride, sharing their knowledge of the history of the area. Cash was a great horse, super easy ride, like riding a sofa.
You have to take a cab, the last bus stop is about a 45 minute walk from the barn.
I cant wait to go back in Spring or summer, and maybe get the chance to explore the Cross country course.
THanks Ger/ Ebony! Hope to see you again soon.

I couldn’t recommend Coolmine more. I absolutely love the place and regularly ride there. Whether you are looking for a trial ride or regular riding lessons, Sophie and Ger will 100% look after you. They are amazing instructors and you will learn so much from them. And most importantly - the horses are fabulous too!

I came here for a 2-3 hours advanced trail ride. Every staff was so friendly and welcoming! I’ve been riding for 7 years and this was the best trail ride I’ve ever been on.
Ger lend me her clean gloves, socks and jacket so I could be warm enough, and it turned out I needed them. It was so nice of her!
We cantered a ton and she gave me a little historical background of the trail. It was very personal and fun. The horses are very well trained and cute as well.
We had tea and brownies at the end. I enjoyed the whole experience a lot.

My wife and I, along with a friend of ours, booked a one-hour horse riding lesson, our very first one ever. We always wanted to ride horses but, for some reason, we only decided to do it on the 12th of August, my wife's birthday. I can only say this: we will be back for more. We were all overwhelmed by the service provided: Ger is one hell of a teacher and, along with the rest of the staff who escorted us through some of the most beautiful sceneries we ever had the pleasure of seeing, managed to teach three complete newbies the basics of horse riding and offer us one of the best moments of our lives in the process. My wife says it was the best birthday presents she ever got, I fell in love with Bailey, the beautiful horse I had to pleasure to ride, and we definitely recommend all horse riding lovers to visit this place – great prices, great location, beautiful place, the staff is super-professional and caring and, again, this is a promise: we will be back for more. Well done!

I booked this experience for myself because I ride casually at home in Southern California and I wanted to experience riding in the Irish countryside. I met Sophie who was so friendly. She got me checked in and set up with gear. I met my horse Cash who was very lively and sweet.
I had booked an intermediate/advanced rider trek. Before we left on the ride I had to demonstrate my riding skills in walk, trot, and canter. Sophie gave me a few pointers to help me, which made a big difference. I felt really good about the ride after having a chance to acclimate to Cash.
The trail we rode on was out of a fairytale! Thick forests, hills, prickle bushes, amazing views of the countryside. It was the best trail ride I've ever been on. And to top it all off we gave the horses a chance to let loose and galloped up a small hill. It was exhilarating and beautiful.
Highly recommend for anyone with riding experience.

I came here as a young, novice rider, and it was my first time riding in an equestrian centre other than my usual one. The staff had 0 patience despite my best efforts, gave me 0 tips or advice on how to deal with the horses (up until then I rode on lazy Cobs, while the horses here were much, much more lively and responsive), and were plain rude and unfriendly.

My sister and I booked a very last minute 2-3 hour riding reservation and I am so glad we were able to! This place was incredible... From the barn to the trails/views and our guides. Maeve took us on an incredible journey that we won't forget. We will definitely be back when we return to Ireland! Thank you for everything!!

Thanks to Lyndsey and all at Coolmine (including the horses of course!). On a cool but increasingly sunny winter's day, my wife, adult daughter and I had a brilliant time trekking through the forest trail and listening to Lyndsey's enthusiastic descriptions of the history and legends of the area. After a professional assessment in the school we set off on our adventure. As a rider of just 18 months experience (and aged 63), I felt safe and negotiated the route without problems, finishing off with a great canter. Fair play to you :)

On Sunday the 21 of October, I did my first horse riding ever and It was such an amazing experience, I would highly recommend this equestrian centre. Helen was such an amazing teacher, as she made me feel at ease and confident on the horse as it was my first time on a horse. At the end of my session, I did not want to leave! I had the beautiful horse Commanche who was very kind and gentle. Viviana took pictures and guided us on her beautiful horse Ebony. Will was very kind and gave me a lift from the train station to the centre and back, accompanying Will was the beautiful Aflie the dog. Thank you all, for the amazing time!

We are staying at the Clayton Hotel, Charlemont in Dublin. Is it possible to arrange a pick-up for two riders from the hotel on April 21, 2019?

Hi, My daughters (experienced riders) in their twenties want to ride on April 21, 2019. Can we get a time between noon and 1 pm to start the ride. How long is your trail for advanced riders?

Hi there, which LUAS line is it? The one from Stephens Green or the one from The Point?

HelloTracey
You can take the Red Line LUAS from Dublin City to Saggart, which is the closest stop to Coolmine Equestrian Centre. The Red Line starts at The Point, (now the 3Arena) and splits at Belgard so make sure that you take a Red Line LUAS which has Saggart on the front! Otherwise you will end up in Tallaght.
