About
A very warm welcome to one of Ireland's finest golf links. We have history and wonderful golfing tradition here - but better than that, we have a fabulous golfing challenge over a magnificent links course. And when the golf is done, our clubhouse offers the ideal place for enjoyable relaxation. Our visitors are always welcomed by our friendly staff and we look forward to your visit to our Club. Located on Bull Island, which also houses a bird sanctuary and nature reserves, this golf course is one of the oldest in Ireland, dating back to 1885.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely golf and relax day!

We spent a wonderful day in this excellent club.
The course was in a perfect condition and we had great help from our caddies.
After playing 18 holes we had a great lunch at the club restaurant.
Daniel, Italian cheaf of bar, was a great host and gave us good advice. Highly suggested !

Traveling from the US to play golf in Ireland . Three couples played at the Royal Dublin. Each group was assigned a “roomie” caddie with very limited experience or training. BAD. Yet, it cost the same as a. Caddie with 20 years of experience.
The men’s group had a 15 year old caddie in his first year assigned to us. No insights. He said he learned a lot from us!
Not a great experience for a golfer at the Royal Dublin Golf Club.

Beautiful place to play some golf. The whole course was in great condition. Rain pouring down and wind in your face made it quite the experience. I would definitely play here again.

Course in great shape. Amazing views. Great old school feel. Lots of golf history memorabilia. Clubhouse food and views were wonderful. Everyone extremely friendly. Club house fully stocked with clothing.

One of the world’s great golf clubs, if you only play one course in Ireland make it Royal Dublin. The club exceeded all my expectations.

The Pro Shop has some nice pieces so make sure you have room in your bag for when you go home. We had lunch and the food was excellent . Short of writing a magazine review I can’t put into words how great my visit was and I recommend RDGC to one and all.

While occupying a relatively flat piece of land on Bull Island, Royal Dublin is a superlative golfing experience. Perfectly maintained and staffed, the course is top notch and presents a stiff challenge from tees that can stretch to 7500 yards for those qualified to play such a test. Great green complexes and a very interesting layout.

Straight forward links course that is very narrow and you can lose your golf balls in the long grass by being a little off. Design is really nothing special.

The course is by the sea but the course doesn’t take advantage of the views.

Many other better courses in Dublin area.

Played this golf course. It is very long compared to US. They were very nice. I pro gave me a women score card.Tees play 6000 yards. This is different from the mens. It has no slope or rating, We asked for posting purposes and they said there was not one. They have no women members.

The course was in very good condition despite we were here early in the year. The wind punished the one who has difficulty playing the links, but it is incredibly instructive. Here, the big players have been Seve, Langer etc. Enjoy the historic atmosphere, enjoy the magic golf course, enjoy the magical nature. Finally, enjoy a magic beer after the round.
You will be well looked after by all staff in the shop, resturang, course staff. They know what service is.
