My name is Owen and I am the founder of Newgrange Day Tours. We specialise in exclusive private tours from Dublin. As a qualified National Tour Guide, I am passionate about Irish history and love nothing more than sharing this knowledge with visitors as we travel to some of the most beautiful historical sites in Ireland. My goal is to start the day as tour guide and guests and to end it as friends.

We had a private tour to a couple places we wanted to go and Owen was a great driver, very friendly and very knowledgeable about the country. We went to Rock of Cashel and to Jerpoint Park and it was a great day—he even took us to a local grocery store on our way back to Dublin. His vehicle is so comfortable, so much so that I let my husband ride in the front and we both had great views and were quite cosy. I highly recommend hiring Owen for any private tour you need in the area. You will not regret it. In addition, and as a bonus, he is a super nice person.

We need more than 5 stars to tell you how amazing our trip with Owen was! We toured the Wicklow Mountains, stopping at a monastic site, the Upper Lake in Glendalough, and Powerscourt Waterfall / Gardens. The weather was a bit foggy in the morning, so we missed the Lough Tay Guinness Lake, but the view at the Upper Lake more than made up for it! Owen is a class act. My wife was a bit woozy going through the mountains, and he allowed her to ride up front and made several adjustments to our path/schedule to make things more comfortable. We really enjoyed chatting about culture, family, and just life in general with Owen. We will definitely be booking another trip with him the next time we make it to Ireland!

Myself and my wife booked a tour of the Boyne Valley with Newgrange Day Tours and the experience could not have been better. I can`t emphasise enough how professional Owen was and how much he knows about the history of the places we visited and about Irish culture in general. He provided us with a safe, very comfortable drive in a beautiful Jaguar that had great leg room and plenty of space in the back seat. If you plan to visit Ireland and is considering an excellent driver with a very good car, be sure to call and book with Owen. Highly recommended.

Our three-day private tour with Owen was nothing short of amazing—truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! We traveled from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher, explored County Kerry, and even visited a falconry center in Dingle before taking in the breathtaking views of Slea Head.
Owen’s deep knowledge and passion for the area made the trip unforgettable. He was far more than just a driver—he became a friend. Ireland was incredible, and we can’t wait to return, with another tour alongside Owen, of course!

Owen was a fantastic driver and ambassador to Ireland! My husband, two sons and I rode with Owen for a day trip around Dublin and Malahide.
It was our first time in Ireland and Owen was so informative about the history of the country and the sites. He was also very friendly, funny and a safe driver. The car was very clean and comfortable as well. We will be sure to call him again on our next Ireland trip!!

Owen was a phenomenal tour guide, and we felt he curated the perfect experience to maximize our time in Ireland! We were impressed with each and every stop he suggested during our personalized tour of County Wicklow. It was an absolutely amazing, and personalized, adventure! Owen was fantastic to work with! He was quick with responses to every question I had via email (even the silly ones lol) and was very pleasant to be around the day of the tour. His car was super clean and he had bottles of water for each of us. He arranged absolutely everything, including the tickets (I paid him for the tickets when booking) and that made it be for me, an stress-free experience. He took us to an incredible place for lunch that had amazing food, fast service and the friendliest of people! Book Newgrange Day Tours! You won’t regret it! They made the experience hassle free. Whats not to like about that when planning your holiday?!? So glad I made the decision to book with Newgrange Day Tours! It was worth every single euro!!!

Excellent tour!
Owen was very knowledgeable about each area we visited, considerate of our time and maxamized what we visited by making certain we knew where to go and what to see.
Owen had purchased Newgrange entrance tickets 30 days prior to our visit and I appreciated that detail being taken care of for us.
We arranged all by email and Owen arrived early at our hotel for our tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Owen and highly recommend booking with him. He was extremely knowledgeable about the Boyne Vally area, Irish culture, and history. It was such a special experience to be picked up at our apartment, driven around in a fancy car, and collaborate with Owen on the day’s itinerary.
