About
Peadar Kearney’s on Dame street is a traditional pub with strong historic roots. The pub is named after a musician who composed Abhrán na BhFiann (The Irish national anthem). We continue this tradition with nightly traditional, toe tapping music. One of the regular musicians, Brian Brody, is a must see for any tourist visiting the city. He’s a one man atmosphere machine. There’s a basement bar downstairs when upstairs overflows, which also caters to most sporting events. If you’re looking for somewhere with temple bar music and atmosphere without the prices, take a look at Peadar’s.

The staff (the waiter) was being nice at first but then he was kind of sarcastic and we didn't feel comfortable when leaving, compared to other pubs around its more expensive and people elsewhere are much nicer. Besides that, it was a very nice place with live music, we enjoyed the environment.

We visited on a Friday afternoon then again Friday night celebrating my birthday, absolutely brilliant, great attentive staff, great beer and the evening music was amazing, local traditional band had the place rocking, its a must visit pub half the price of nearby Templebar, then to top everything off the band sang In My Liverpool Home especially for me

We came across Peadar Kearney’s when we were looking for a place to have a few drinks after dinner and we are so happy we found it! We happened to start chatting with some locals who obviously come to Peadars often. We became instant family and ended up staying out way later than planned as we were having such a good time and came back the next day to see our new friends before we flew out the next day.
Barman Karl taught me how to properly pour a Guinness and I had first hand experience behind the bar for a short while. This bar is perfect if you want to experience the wonderful generosity and friendliness of Ireland and have a good drink while you’re at it! We miss you all!!

This is a decent Dublin pub and just far enough out of Temple Bar so and not to break the bank too much. However, the music wasn't up to much on our visit. We were hoping to avoid the 'Ed Sheeran' effect but we landed right in the middle of it. The musician was taking a break and I was a little bit suspicious. Sure enough, when he came back from his break, the fist song was Ed Sheeran! We made a swift exit and when across to another pub with better live music.

This pub looked ok from the outside but it was grubby inside, filthy cloths being used to ‘clean’ tables and bar. Incredibly surly and rude barman. Prices seem completely changeable depending if they liked the look of you or not. There are many good pubs in Dublin don’t waste you time here.
