I love visiting Farmleigh House. I live in the area and love to walk the grounds. When friends come to visit me from Ireland or abroad I always bring them to Farmleigh. My parents loved the gardens and the Weekend Market. I brought some french friends during the summer and we loved the tour of the house. It takes 45minutes... More

I visit here regularly it's a nice spot to get some fresh air with a very nice Boat house cafe on the lake. The cafe can get full easy on the weekend's. This is a nice attraction and is free the walk around the ground. There is horses, cow's and Donkeys in the fields. It's nice here but I wouldn't... More

The House is beautiful particularly at Christmas Time, where there are carols being sung and the place is beautifully decorated. The Markets are also a must in the grounds of the House.

Farmleigh is a lovely place to visit at weekends when there tends to be markets and/or bands playing in the gardens. They currently have a Christmas market (food and crafts). The courtyard has different Christmas themed areas for children and the young at heart. One such area provides Victorian clothes to dress up in. The house is open and carols... More

The walk around the Farmleigh is very nice and you just can't miss the free guided tour of the Farmleigh House. There were few steps so suggested to use baby carrier instead of baby stroller (I am not sure if they allow baby stroller) for the guided tour. It is nice to see the house and I like their library... We were fortunate to be given a tour of the House by the resident tour guide, who had all the information in great detail on all aspects and history of the House and imparted this information with great humour and great detail

This is one of Dublin's hidden secrets. It is free to do a tour. The staff are super friendly. For every question they may have a couple of answers. A beautiful building. They have a great coffee shop beside the house. There is also the most amazing rose garden. In the Phoenix Park, a must if your in Dublin.

This is a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon especially when the food/craft market is on - check website as it varies according to the time of year. There will be a Christmas market every weekend in December. The food sold is quality: apples straight from the orchard, muffins, olives, hot dogs, cheeses, fudge, Italian pesto, breads, crepes, coffee... More
