Had a lovely day here. What a beautiful place. Japan Day is an annual day promoting the traditions and food of Japan. There was a central stage with all the entertainment and various small tents offering food, Loads of families having picnics. We did the tour of the house which was very informative and a good incite on how the... More

Here is a beautiful house and grounds in excellent condition thanks to the OPW. It's a lesser know gem to toutists. The whole grounds and house tour are free and so is the parking providing a great day out at no cost. The tour is informative and they bring you to many of the rooms and share the history with... Great choices of foods freshly made by cottage industry entrepreneurs. Lovely day out, bring the dog, story time for the kids, free admission to the fabulous house that has great history. Tours every 45 mins. Well worth a visit in the biggest city park in Europe. Dublin zoo also there so a full day out if you wish.

The building is interesting even if you don't see all of it, but its historical features have been poorly cluttered with inkjet printers (seven that we saw), cheap looking phones (fifteen), wifi routers (five), Cat 5 cabling, Bose speakers (four) and an ancient-looking back projection screen in a room filled with tatty rental conference chairs. It was very incoherent, but... More

I went with a friend from Dubai here yesterday and I didn't realised that the tour is free inside this impressive Victorian mansion. The interiors are really fetching and awesome. The tour guide is very good and the tour itself is very educational. The courtyard and the garden are also lovely and a good place to just sit down and... More

Farmleigh is not highlighted enough, we called in while driving through Phoenix Park. This is a beautifully restored house steeped in history, the grounds are very well maintained and ideal for strolling around with lots to see in the gorgeous gardens.

Absolutely worth the visit! There's lots to see but some things were closed when I visited, I suggest looking into the opening times beforehand :) Especially look into the Sunken Garden, I really wanted to see it more but it was closed :(

Visited as a family with 2 older teenagers and all enjoyed the visit. Free car parking and free house tour with knowledgable tour guide gives a great insight into the life and times of the Guinness family and how they "accrued" great respect from politicians and royalty through their wealth and influence in society. House has been tastefully restored and... More

I was here for a conference shortly before Christmas and the place looked amazing. We were invited to a tour of the house but i couldn't stay, but would have liked to. All the staff were kind and welcoming
