Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Neighborhood without much interest. We were there to wait before visiting the storehouse guiness. Various shops, antique district...
Only positive point at the bend of a street, a very nice little pub, more style tea room (2 pups)

Visit Dublin's Liberties and you're in the heart of real Dublin. It's a lovely walk from Dublin City Centre and on the way you could drop in to Trinity College (Book of Kells), Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral and a host of other interesting places. There's plenty of bargain shops, pubs and restaurants in the Liberties on streets like Thomas Street, Francis Street, Meath Street (where you'll find a grotto to Our Lady beside St. Catherine's Church, for a moment of tranquility and a quick prayer if you like). Back at Trinity College you're a few steps from Grafton Street for great shopping and at the top of the street you'll find a beautiful park called St. Stephen's Green. Plenty to see and do here even if it's just watching the world go by. Dublin is a compact city so you can walk to most of the tourist attractions although public transport is good. Marie

I'm not sure what tourists expect when they visit Dublin for the first time but I reckon must leave thinking that Grafton Street and Temple bar are good examples of what Dublin has to offer, but if you want to see Dublin, real Dublin, visit the Liberties. Between Newmarket and it's markets and whisky to Thomas st, Guinnesses to Christchurch, the Liberties is one of the oldest areas of Dublin dating back 400 odd years. It contains old school cafes, fancy new restaurants, pubs, shops and more. It is packed with character and charm.

On the south western of the central city you will find this street, not too far from Guinness's, St Patrick's Cathedral and Christchurch Cathedral.
Not so much here for the tourist to buy as such, but is very much on equal par with the north side's Moore Street for it's local character and charm. You will see how the locals shop for fruit and veg, butchers, takeaways, pubs, and a really impressive market too, I feel this could well be a real eye opener for the tourist who thinks Ireland is all about leprechauns, Guinness and Shillelaghs, when there is so much more to offer.
Come down here and give it a go, you might be surprised how you'll fall in love with the locals, if you don't, turn around and go to temple bar, and have the beaming barman in the tourist pub wish you a 'Top'a'the mornin' to ya' whatever rocks your boat.
When I go abroad, I like to 'keep it real', and I am sure the like minded tourist will love Meath Street.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it here! Close to everything. The people are lovey. The houses are super cool. We rented and Airbnb and are so glad we were able to find a place in the heart of Dublin!

On two separate business trips to Dublin, I've taken long walks through the Liberties, and found lots to explore and see of interest. It seems like down every street or around every corner there is another stunning church, a great piece of architecture, an interesting shop or a beautiful piece of street art (aka graffiti). Don't be afraid to duck down that alley or peer through the bars of a fence into a vacant lot, as you never know what bit of Dublin history you might find!

This is an excellent place to view quality antiques. Prices reflect the quality but do not miss the opportunity to see the inventory. Shopkeeps have some interesting stories and love their work.

It is a great place for antiques- both the original type and old items turned into antiques.
You could wander the street for hours and mooch in the antique shops.
There is an interesting knotting shop on the street, run by a very enthusiastic woman.
there are a few hip cafes as well.
