I have done 2 tasting with Derek now and both have left me in awe.
1st was through The Village Whiskey Society and the knowledge he passed on to us was amazing. The overall set up was great and he was more than happy to entertain any questions (stupid or not lol) the whole group loved it.
2nd was for a friend's Stag. Derek was more than accommodating. We had a small group of whiskey and non whiskey drinkers. By the end of it he had educated and converted the non whiskey drinkers all while keeping everyone engaged and entertained.
I can't wait for the next tasting.

Patrick was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide as first we strolled through the Liberties, learning more about Pearse Lyons, Roe & Coe and Powers, and then we sipped, stopping at some top notch pubs. Derek, who had organized it, even came by to our last stop at The Swan. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in upping your knowledge of Irish Whiskey and also wanting some good Cráic - Slaínte!

My friends and I had an incredible time making cocktails with Derek! He is very knowledgeable, fun, and welcoming. From the moment the experience started, Derek made sure no one ever had an empty glass and kept the complimentary prosecco flowing.
This is a perfect experience for hens, birthdays, corporate parties, or just a weekend activity. The cocktails we made were dangerously gorgeous, made with locally sourced quality ingredients and lots of laughter. I cannot recommend this enough, and I cannot wait to do it again!

A great evening spent with Derek as he explained the world of irish whiskey. He is a knowledgeable and passionate speaker on all things Whiskey.

Thoroughly enjoyed a rainy afternoon in Dublin sampling Irish whiskeys whilst being educated and entertained by Derek, who definitely knows his whiskey. We tried six, most of which we have never seen in the UK, and will definitely be looking to buy a couple of them when we get home.
The tasting is held in the snug of The Swan bar at No. 57 York Street, an old pub with some great history of its own.

This was the absolute highlight of my hen! The set up was absolutely fantastic, everyone had their own little station with all the ingredients. Derek talked us through how to make them and gave us lots of fun interesting facts. Derek himself is so sound and knowledgeable and honestly couldn't do enough for us, he literally went out his way for us (we mentioned we'd ran out of wine but after the cocktails nobody could drive to get more, so he dropped two of us down to the local shop to get some). He was fantastic. The drinks though.....wow these are some 5 STAR - HIGH END cocktails, not your average cheap cosmos and sex on the beach, oh no. These are top shelf and hard to find spirits, mixers and liqueurs, best margarita and mojito I've ever had and the whiskey sour was just fantastic. Cannot recommend this experience highly enough, in fact we're rebooking him for another event. This is a bargain at twice the price. Amazing. Made my hen.

This has got to be our highlight of our Dublin experience. Derek was so personable and told us so many amazing stories about the whiskeys that we tasted. We chatted and drank and exchanged so
many good conversations. He is immensely knowledgeable about whisky. This is a do not miss experience!!! Highly recommend!!!

If you are looking to learn all things Irish Whiskey, Derek is the man. The experience was both informative and fun…. It was clear Derek has huge knowledge & passion for the industry; the tasting itself allowed the opportunity to sample some of the best whiskey Ireland has to offer alongside some great stories. Cant fault the experience … A must do if you are visiting Dublin 🤩
