Not a very friendly crew, after the first drink, what was my first alcoholic beverage of that day, I was refused to served further on. Ofcourse as a bartender you have certain responsability, but as long as person was speaking clearly I, as former barowner, served my guest, especially I could see then kind of public they belonged to. I felt very insulted. I suggest you skip this bar in the afternoon and go anywhere else!

Went to the George on my second night in Dublin after a friend had asked me to join. We saw the Thirsty Thursday drag show, which was amazing obviously. It was my first time experiencing a night club, it was a bit overwhelming but I could flee outside for a cooldown. I met so many wonderful people that night that are now friends of mine. Everyone looked cool and they were all just vibing and being themselves which was really nice to see. They make some banger cocktails as well. Bathrooms are very strictly kept an eye on, not sure why but the line is quicker that way so I didn't mind. Overall really cool experience.

Popped In Here While In Dublin For Work & The First Thing That Hit Me Was What An Amazing Space, The Layout Etc Is Fantastic. Great Staff & Entertainment Only Thing I Missed Was The Customers Didn’t Seem To Want To Interact With Strangers But By No Means Did That Spoil My Experience.

Myself and my girlfriend went to the George last night and were having a very good night until about half way through when we encountered an uncomfortable experience. We went to the bathrooms and, as my girlfriend is autistic, we entered the stall together. We were met with a young girl angrily banging on the stall door and when I opened the door to talk to her and explain she was very passive aggressive. I explained that my girlfriend was autistic and she showed her travel card to explain further as the girl wasn’t understanding. The girl proceeded to ask for more “proof” of my girlfriends disability. Another Irish woman with tattoos that I didn’t catch the name of then came over and asked what the situation was and was very understanding and let us into the stall. My girlfriend at this stage was very overwhelmed and uncomfortable so we left the bar to go outside for air and decide if we wanted to stay or go home. A man then came outside to talk to us, his name was Gerard and he was so lovely and accommodating, he made sure we were okay and did everything in his power to make us feel welcome and comfortable again in the bar. He didn’t leave my girlfriends side until she felt okay and he really made the whole experience for us a lot better. Himself and the Irish girl who has helped us previously checked in with us a few times throughout the night. Overall a nice night, the uncomfortable experience in the bathroom could easily has ruined our night but Gerard and the other Irish girl made our experience a lot better. We are really great full thank you so much.

WORST nightclub experience in my life! Went to Dublin for the weekend with my 2 sisters and 2 friends(1 had just flown in from London) we looked for things to do and found out the George was doing a drag show which we thought could be a fun time. We went to the George in storm Eunice with heels and dresses on, after 20 mins waiting in the rain (which we didn’t mind at first) the woman bouncer with short blonde hair kinda heavy build asked for our Id and asked one of my sisters were we here before? which she answered we weren’t ever here before she just refused us! At first we thought she was joking but before long we realised she was being serious, she wouldn’t give us a reason and when we asked for a manager she said she was one, to only a few mins later say there was none in.The actually manager then came down and backer her up. The bouncer was so rude to us! Me and my friends were mortified! It’s just one of the most baffling experiences I ever had especially when the group behind didn’t even look 18 and got in after we walked away. Would never go back and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone gay or straight. 😡

Group of friends were not allowed in after waiting 30 mins in rain. We asked why and security said that they didn’t want to insult us by telling us why. We were there for the karaoke show as were big fans. Understand that they don’t want many straight people into their club but they could have been more straightforward and told us that.

Tried to get into the George tonight to support my fellow lgbtq+ friends and was not permitted entry to a very rude person at the door… would not give a reason to why myself and my two friends were not allowed entry to the bar. Very disappointed and will not be back/recommend to anyone in the near future! Frankly very upset by this situation considering it’s an “inclusive space”😡 very negative experience overall considering underage looking people were let in?

Worst experience, we were rushed from the place at 8:40 and our reservation ended at 11:00. In their publicity on fb said about a show and there was nothing. Worst environment and the manager don't have good communication with the staff.

We stumbled across this venue on the first day of our trip to Dublin and continued to go every night until we left! We traveled from the UK and this is probably one of the best gay bars we have visited. Entertainment was amazing, staff were friendly and everyone inside seemed like they were really enjoying themselves! I cannot wait for my next trip to Dublin so I can visit this venue!
