Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came in for a couple of drinks and thought it was great - proper pub, table service for drinks and a great atmosphere!

I am by no means a connoisseur, but I do know a good(a bad, or average) pint of Guinness.
Last week I stumbled across this great pub.
First of all the relaxed friendly atmosphere was apparent as soon as I entered.
Lovely traditional layout inside, with bar staff who actually smile.
Options for sitting outside (sheltered) for those who prefer.

So I ordered a pint of the black stuff, and noticed possibly 6 or 7 sat aside whilst settling.
* I would say that it did take a little longer than 'the usual' to receive mine..but boy was it worth the wait.
Hands down the BEST pint of Guinness I have ever had, and do note that some years ago, I had done the tour at St James's Gate & sampled a pint in their elevated bar(what a view of City btw) post-tour.

In fact, I enjoyed my pint here SO MUCH, I have re-booked another short stay in Dublin for middle of next week.

Cannot wait to spend another evening in the Fantastic Slattery's 🍺.

* Great things come to those who wait 🖤!

Was recommended this pub by a colleague who said it was the best Guinness in Dublin. It definitely is not. It of a twang to the pint. Staff were very dismissive and I had to remind the bar man I was still waiting on a pint. Would not go back again.

Pints of Guinness in here were good, breakfast looked very nice also. Chilled out environment and plenty of bar staff to deal with orders.

The service was fair but the staff was full of attitude, bordering on rude. One order at a time and leave you to wait u till they are ready to return. Should have just told us to go the bar. The food was poorly cooked, probly microwaved. Fish looked good, deep fat fried from frozen but the centre of the fish was still cold. The chicken burger was soggy and only tasted if hot sauce. The lamb stew was tasty but the meat was all grizzle, the steak sandwich contain lump of fat where the meat was not even trimmed. There was nobody to complain to except the staff with the attitude. A very disappointing experience.

While visiting Ireland and staying in Dublin, someone recommended Slattery's as a good place for breakfast. They were very correct! My husband and I fell in love with the ambience, the food and the service - and not only for breakfast. We really enjoyed stopping in for a pint and having some of their delicious fare at any time of day. Even the restrooms were interesting and far above average. If you're looking for a pleasant
and authentic Irish pub experience go straight to Slattery's!!

Popped in for a pint of Guinness. Decent pint and prices you would expect from Dublin.
Sat outside and watched the world go by which was interesting.
Worth while for a visit

My wife and I were in Dublin on Saturday 12 March 2020 and decided to pop into Slattery’s for a bite to eat.
On entry the premises was very full and a bar tender told us that there was some room upstairs.
We sat down and a menu was brought to us promptly.
My wife ordered a toasted BLT sandwich with fries (€12.90) with a mineral (€3.20) while I ordered a Steak Sandwich with fries and sautéed onions (€14.95) and a pint of Smithwick’s (€5.90) totalling €36.95.
We had to wait approximately 20 minutes to be served.
When the food arrived, the waitress apologised for the delayed service.
My wife enjoyed her sandwich but complained that the outside of the fries were hard. Indeed, the fries had skin on, but this was not advertised.
None the less the food was hot.
I had thought that paying nearly €15 for a steak sandwich the portion would have been bigger. The peppered sauce that accompanied it was delicious. So much, so I asked for more.
Overall, in my opinion: The food was good. The portions a bit on the small side and for what we got a little bit pricey.
