So the famous coca cola Christmas truck stopped by for one day in Dublin and it chose this place! No wonder why, coz it's really spacious and cool! Lots of people came to see the truck and take family photos. The square itself is awesome and such a great place to go for a walk with the family. Some very... More

Stayed at the Maldon at the top of the square in Smithfield . This area has so much to offer. Loads or restaurants , cafe's and a couple of bars including the fabulous cobble stone bar. It has a funky cinema and Jameson distillery is right there too. The perfect place to stay in Dublin

Smithfield square is a wonderful location. The Maldron Hotel on one end, and the Cinnamon Cafe on the other. Between you will find an Italian restaurant, a little antique shop, and the Jameson Distillery on the other end. I loved staying here. I nearly forgot, there is also a small playground for children. It is fairly well lit at night... More

I live close and it is a place which have been improved a lot with the time. The surroundings offer a good range of restaurants and bars. You can also find a gym, a cinema, business offices and a youth hostel. It is just beside the city tram and not far from the city center. During the year different events... More

If you're visiting Dublin you should make sure you check Smithfield square, very nice trendy and safe area, with bars, restaurants, a very nice cinema. There's also often events or things happening there.

This square is on the north side of Dublin city centre, at a fairly new residential development. At The east side of the square lies Jmeson distillery

This square doesn't look like an exciting place when you walk by for the first time, but eventually I started getting hang of it ... It's an unusually large pedestrian area which is very walk able and livable. It has some history, some places to shop and to eat, close to the river and it's not over crowded or over... More

Ok so I'm not a tourist and I live on the square, I'm surprised to see it down as a ratable attraction in itself on trip advisor but I will say it's a great place to live. There's often something going on on the square itself, be it a market or film festival, sporting event up on a big screen,... More

There is an hotel and food market, its an outgoing district but the appartment blocks that are here are so modern that it lacks something.

Modern, neat and clean with bars, restaurants, cinema complex and other `attractions`, the large cobbled square is flanked by some pretty uninspiring new apartment blocks. The lighting is quite impressive at night but that aside a typically pretty bland modern development...
