Stepping inside it is immediately obvious why here is such a sought after and fashionable venue for weddings. It really is exceptionally special and beautiful. Commissioned by the redoubtable Cardinal Newman it was completed in the 1850s according to the Neo-Byzantine style. The entrance vestibule itself is impressive with a grand oblong dark wooden ceiling and a number of memorial... More

A very unusual church the was made by converting a Georgian house and it's garden.the resulting building is therefore very narrow and long .well worth a visit if you on saint Stephan s green .

This small byzantine-style church is situated on St. Stephen's Green yet could be easily missed. It breathes history - Cardinal Newman's association makes it an important church. But it is also quite simple a stunning oasis in the city centre - perfect for a few minutes relaxation and reflection.

University Church ( never mind the Newman bit - this is a piece of UCD marketing) is a gem! On the edge of Stephen's Green, it has a very small presence and it is very easy to miss it. Don't... Go inside... it won't take long and you will find a wonderful example of a Byzantine style nineteenth century church...... More

We were passing by and went in to see the church. It is truly a beautiful building inside. The murals tell a beautiful story.

My wife and I were walking by and came upon this very interesting church. Cardinal Newman was one of the great intellects of the Catholic Church and it was interesting to see his statue here and see the church.

Inspired by Cardinal Newman this small church is unique in Ireland for its byzantine decoration and it is worth popping in when walking around St Stephen's Green

It’s not a spectacular church, but a small, quiet one. But it is precisely the quietness and the tranquility of the place that makes it so wonderful. That, and the colorful marbles that cover the walls. It felt like time had stopped. It even felt weird to think that you were still in Dublin. I wouldn’t go there if I... More

This is a marvellous atmospheric church in Dublin on St Stephen's Green with some great art work and a fascinating history. Well worth dropping in for a look and if you want to hear mass you can join the pious office workers in the area at 1.05 pm every week day.
