Absolutely amazing and so much fun

We actually came Feb 2020 but forgot to leave a review. Honestly this place was AMAZING! We had so much fun and the wax figures were all incredible. We spend hours in here and would definitely recommend. Thanks for a great visit 😁

A wonderful experience for all!
Sep 2020
I went with a friend and we had such a wonderful time. I really can't fault the experience. It starts the moment you enter the building with the customer service from their fantastic staff who I am sure don't receive enough credit. Unfortunately in these times it lacks the q's and buzz that usually fills the place. On the bright side you basically have the place to yourself! It's organised into different categories. Wax figures range from famous characters, celebrities and past figures. Take the time to read the plaques and listen to their audios as it really broadens the experience. The horror section was something I wasn't even prepared for. It made the experience well worth while, definitely a few unexpected scares along the way. To round the experience when you think your leaving there's a little surprise to end your tour! Thanks for having us.

Hi siobhanm225 Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We're delighted you enjoyed your visit so much. To facilitate social distancing we are operating at a reduced capacity so the museum is quieter but we still strive to make sure everyone has the best experience possible. Our horror section can give quite the scare but we're glad you liked it. If you took any photos of your visit we'd love for you to share them with us online. Kind Regards The Management National Wax Museum Plus

Dublin Wax Museum

The Wax museum was okay. The kids enjoyed it but nothing like the Wax Museum London. It is very small and you get around it in 30mins. Only thing was people were coming in and there was no social distancing. Maybe if they let a few minutes between each group.

Hello Carolinedavittxx, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and we are glad the children enjoyed the visit. We have introduced time slots (every 15 minutes) and therefore limited the capacity based on 2 metre social distancing guidelines. The Wax Museum is currently operating on less than 20 % it’s regular capacity and it is a self guided tour. All our staff have taken part in certified Covid-19 training, have gone through the induction process and we introduced new cleaning regimes. We have worked tirelessly on a response plan and assessed the possible health and safety risks, we are updating those as often as required. Social distancing is being observed and enforced by staff in all areas, including Front desk, shop and Chamber of Horrors. To comply with the government regulations tunnels are no longer in use and groups are being capped at 6 persons.Extra staff members have been assigned to carry out regular cleaning duties and management are overseeing this every day. As face coverings are mandatory in all indoor settings, this policy is being enforced as well. We have placed necessary and relevant signage all throughout the building, it will encourage visitors to adhere to the health and safety guidelines. Once again I would like to stress that we take Covid-19 safety guidelines very seriously, I have taken your feedback onboard and we will continue working hard to provide a safe and fun environment for our visitors. Kindest Regards, Anna

Lovely welcome, not a lot to see
Aug 2020 • Solo
Lovely welcome from all staff. Some of the celebrity waxworks were quite good. However a lot of the waxworks were people from history that we do not know exactly what their faces looked like so I feel like a lot of the characters may have just been recycled old figures. I think the most up to date characters were Jedward which isn’t great. Passed an afternoon for me but I should have went somewhere else unfortunately. Not in the same league as wax museums in London or Amsterdam.

Hi Dgn1010, many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. National Wax Museum Plus is a small independent company and we aim at providing fun on many levels and for all ages. The Science section and Vaults of Irish History are most popular with international visitors as they can learn about Ireland and the country's achievements throughout the years. We are happy to hear that you received a warm welcome, our staff are the real stars of the museum :-) We hope that you enjoyed the rest of your day in Dublin. With best regards, Anna

Really great experience, the stars are the staff!
Aug 2020 • Family
The lovely warm greeting by Imelda at the entrance was lovely. Great display, and loved the 1916 history piece too. Haunted hotel, too scary for me, I couldn't get past first door! My son is ASD and I just knew the staff got him, in such a positive way. Really great experience, well worth a visit, but the staff are the real stars!

Hi Terri F Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. Imelda has a wealth of experience and always makes sure to give a warm welcome. We'll be sure to pass on your compliments to her and the staff. The entire team here is dedicated to making sure the whole family has a great time at the museum. and are always on hand to give a little extra help where it's needed. We're delighted your son particularly enjoyed his experience. We do pride ourselves on the creative freedom we have as an independently owned museum which allows us to include exhibitions such as our 1916 section and give a strong showing of Irish history and culture. If you took any photos of your visit we'd love for you to share them with us online. Kind Regards The Management National Wax Museum Plus

Hello Linda K, Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you were able to avail of the Frontline Workers offer. We feel very strongly about the safety of our staff and patrons and have taken all precautions necessary in order to ensure that government guidelines are being followed on a daily basis. We have introduced time slots and therefore limited the capacity based on 2 metre social distancing guidelines. The Wax Museum is currently operating on less than 20 % it’s regular capacity. Sanitising stations have been placed in several locations, including entry, children section, gift shop and the Chamber of Horrors and the main exit. Staff members are carrying regular walk arounds and encouraging social distancing throughout the building. All our staff have taken part in certified Covid-19 training, have gone through the induction process and we introduced new cleaning regimes. We have worked tirelessly on a response plan and assessed the possible health and safety risks, in fact we are updating those as often as required. Extra staff members have been assigned to carry out regular cleaning duties and management are overseeing this every day. Plexiglass screens have been installed in all areas where there is direct contact between customer and staff, those areas include reception, gift shop and Wax Machine. As of yesterday face coverings are mandatory in all indoor settings and this policy is being enforced.

Quite tacky if I'm honest. Included in Dublin pass and that's the only reason I went. Wouldn't pay to go there

I enjoyed it with my family. My kids liked the wax statues and they did wax hand at the end of tour. Parking available nearby. Staff were friendly.

Low quality, but still fun
Mar 2020
My friends and I were able to make it fun, but I can't say I would highly recommend it for the price. We could goof around, but the quality of the work wasn't there and one of the rooms was borderline uncomfortable to walk through. We had fun in the Disney themed room - there were great places for fun photo-opps and things to play with. Would probably be a great place to go if you wanted something kid friendly!
