A must in Dublin, a must! Even if you are not a fan of Oscar Wilde, the park and the homages for him are impressive, so are his statue. Enjoy the statues and Oscar's says forever stamped into history. And his apartment in town is just across the park.

I cannot describe how good it was to walk in the steps of my father. To re-visit an area that my family knew was very rewarding and humbling.

This park rivals St. Stephens Green for beauty. It also houses Ireland's memorial to its military services and the famous statue of Oscar Wilde (whose childhood home was close by).

My mom and I stopped by here on Sunday in the early afternoon for a visit. Artists were set up around the outside fence and we bought a couple small pieces of unframed art for 15 euros each. They seemed to start at 15 and went upwards. What really impressed us was the artists sat back and only approached us... More

The statue of Oscar Wild was very cool, down to the trinity collate tie. Nice park worth the time to stop.

There are a few nice parks in this area of Dublin and Merrion is one of them. Great playground for kids (if you are with tykes, also go to St. Patrick's playground). The Oscar Wilde statue is a little pretentious as it appears to be a bit sneering, but it's in a nice corner of the park and is very... More

I've always admired parks and gardens since childhood as there was none where I grew up, so I've spent a lot of time visiting various gardens and parks on my travels, and Merrion is one of my favourite ones in Dublin. It's not as crowded at St. Stephen's Green and has a nice playground area for children. The central area... More

Love to walk around the park or sit to relax during a sunny afternoon. Have been here many times and it's always lovely, well presented, nice atmosphere and calm. Amazing as many parks in the city. It's a must see location with Oscar Wilde's statue, in one of the corners.

We went to see the monument to Oscar Wilde. Very nicely carved in many colors of stone. The square is lovely too,, very quiet the morning we were there. Gates are closed at night and this day the gatekeeper may have had too many pints as opening was after 10am. You can see OW through the fence easily.

Nice pleasant square for a walk around. Located in central Dublin. Nice to go to in a sunny day to spend a few hours at.
