Sometimes you get good food and coffee and sometimes you get a great location - here you get it all! If you want a taste of Georgian Dublin come here for lunch and just soak it all in. Fabulous setting in the two ground floor rooms of this fantastic Georgian house.

I visited here twice recently, and both times was delighted. The cafe is in two big rooms across the ground floor of this magnificent Georgian house in central Dublin. The coffee is excellent, and the lunches are very good value. I had soup, which was fresh and full of flavour, spinach and parmesan. My friend had his 'usual', a chick... More

We loved the food and the welcome we received in this beautifully decorated cafe opposite the James Joyce Centre. It's a haven of peace in the middle of Dublin's bustle, and the chickpea curry was delicious.

Beautiful shabby chic building with lots of interesting artefacts. Great staff and owner very friendly. Ready nice garden out the back and set in a nice quiet Georgian st in north side of Dublin city centre. Worth a visit for lunch and coffee during the day.

Hearty lunch prepared by warm Mayo chef! Teen devoured delicious soup and more-ish sandwich. Great spot to have a chat with loved one or catch up with a friend. Lofty ceiling and faded glory...relaxed. You have to tune in with the owner!

Pleasant lunch place that we found on "Dublin's Ten Best". It is near the James Joyce Museum on the north side of the Liffey. The menu is limited, but the soup and sandwich special was quite good and very reasonable for Dublin at €8.90. The staff was very pleasant and there is outside seating in the rear courtyard.

I am dumbfounded as to how this place is still open with the way the owner behaves to his customers. I called in here to have coffee with a friend as we only had 20mins to spare. The owner rather abruptly informed me that they don't serve coffee unless having lunch. A strange policy to have considering the place has... More

I had to write this review after seeing the one recently submitted by SulavansTravels. I think they must have eaten somewhere else because this place is an absolute gem and the staff are just fantastic. I have lunch here with my wife at least once a week and have never been disappointed. The 'front of house' man, Eddie, is extremely... More

The man who runs this place whipped our coffees off the table five minutes after we had been served. He then stood over us until my friend finished drinking hers so he could take it away. He's a large tall man and was quite menacing. At closing time, twenty minutes later, as we were leaving, he began pulling our tables... More
