It's not a nice park, it's just a pond where birds migrate. No parking facilities. It's by the sea but nothing spectacular. Unless you are an ornithologist with a specific interest to the types of birds there are. Visit Blackrock park for a walk instead.

I would recommend locals or tourists to take in Booterstown marsh while taking a nice walk along the bay, down to Blackrock and Monkstown along the strand and perhaps too, to take in some of the Irishtown reserve. I have had some great memories from this little stretch of marsh land. I have counted 10 Little Egrets, at least 4... More

A stop at Booterstown while traveling south by train to see first hand the sanctuary was a bit of a disappointment. A bevy of interesting birds around, and on, the water, which is an artificially created pond. However, there is not much more here except a path along the water, an narrative board and some benches.

Absolutely beautiful scenery and so easy to get to. No where else in dublin can you see such a stunning array of coastal birds as well as so many shopping trolleys. The beautiful sea air on a sunny day has a unique scent that you're sure to never forget!

There is no centre or any real facilities at all apart from a few benches, small information board and a concrete path along the end of the sanctuary. On a nice day would be relaxing and the location is good but I don't think you'll be blown away at all by this

Had one of the nicest days out I've had in a while here. Top notch stuff. Not only free, but right next to the DART station, so it's almost too easy to get to. We brought a picnic and just sat outside taking in the lovely sea air. The wild-life is incredible. Saw some seagulls, a crane and a cormorant... More

This Sanctuary is really important for sustaining some wildlife than can is rare in Ireland and can only thrive in the conditions provided by the salt-marsh of Booterstown Bird Sanctuary. For this reason, I'm rating this a 3 out of 5; it's important. As a tourist attraction...not so much. If you are getting the DART from or to Booterstown you... More

For me it's just a swamp. I live nearby and there's really better places here. Most of the time you won't see birds or anything else interesting.
