St. Audoen's was built in 1190 and has a square tower built in the 17th century with bells dating to the 15th century. It has very nice exhibits inside and one can self-tour, which is what we did, or take a tour with a guide....More

This church was built in 1190. There are still services held on Sundays. The Dublin wall is near it. The headstones in the older section outside are interesting to look at

An interesting visit with very knowledgeable and friendly guide. A small Church but very old architecture and a Roman road. Definitely worth stopping in.

St Audoen's is a lovely building with a long history. I had a guided tour at the visitor centre on Saturday 30 June. The guide was fantastic. She had a real passion for the building and its history. All the staff were welcoming.

Another unplanned stop, we were not disappointed as we love the history. Add to that the fact that services are still being held there, it was a must see.

This church is free and open to anyone and yet it is not crowded. I had a peaceful and enjoyable time wandering around, including the ruins, the "lucky stone" and the church itself. The three men who work there were very friendly, welcoming and helpful....More

Unlike the grand cathedrals of Dublin, this church (the oldest in the city) is completely free. The wonderful guides will even give you a tour, or you can wander on your own. A beautiful site - don't miss it!

We were staying on the next block and stumbled on this while walking to another attraction. Why was this excellent? No Entry fee, a free 30 min full tour with loads of history. This was the highlight after the Marsh Library and we didn't even...More
