We visited when they were changing exhibits, so there was only about 1/3 available. However, it was free, still very interesting, the courtyard was a sun trap, the café was great with lovely salads and fresh food, and very good value. I explored the gardens and killed time before my flight home, there's lots of space outside, with green areas... More

This museum is beautiful inside and out plus it's free. there are also mini exhibits that give you a look into the past of Dublin.

The museum itself was entirely underwhelming. Few installations in the South gallery, and the other was closed. However, 'The Humanizer' temporary installation (through August 28 2016) about the scandal and controversy surrounding Roger Casement was one of the best things I've seen at any art museum.

Art is not self defined. This Museum is a social experiment and not art. I am a former member and stopped my membership when I discovered while in Ireland that it is not art but a social expression and not even irish

Especially for lovers of modern art and open minded individuals. The Entry is free. Near Heuston Station and Kilmainhams Goal.

We did not visit the museum itself, but a walk around the grounds is really nice. The gate is right outside the Kilmainham Hilton and it is a very pleasant walk through the gardens. It was late in the afternoon and the grounds were popular with folks reading books in the shade, walking dogs or just walking the grounds like... More

Small, original and emotional - this multi-media installation by Simon Fujiwara is really worth a visit. IMMA in general is a must-see for art lovers in Dublin, the buildings, gardens and exhibitions really compliment each other and offer a nice afternoon. Leave your dogs at home though, they're not allowed in the yards, gardens and buildings!

What utter rubbish. Paintings of mens botoms, photocopies of architecture plans with infantile drawings on them. One piece shows a man making love with what looks like a platypus. Is this art? does questioning this make it art? No it does not. I like art and in the same way with music I appreciate that I cannot like every style... More

The grounds were beautiful. The exhibition halls were filled with modern art which I didn't care for. There were two exhibits which didn't strike a cord with me. I'd go again to see other works of art.
