The museum itself is set in fantastic grounds and on a sunny day it is a lovely stroll. The art on display in the main museum is a bizaar collection of objects and paintings, spread throughout a long corridor off which some smaller rooms branch,...More

I have visited here many times over the years and there is always something worth seeing here. There are lots of different galleries and formal gardens. Very near Kilmainham Goal so possible to do a visit at the same time.

We generally like modern art but it was hard to find anything we liked here, certainly nothing we wanted to stand and look at for any length of time. The cafe food was good but terribly noisy with vaulted ceiling echoing all the noisy children.
