I attended the Cemetery Tour with three friends yesterday and we were seriously impressed by the professionalism of Alan, our guide, and his very fluid ability to share a huge amount of information in a most articulate and gripping manner. A most enjoyable treat.

Did this tour on 1st July 2022. I'd done it before @ 6 years ago and so enjoyed it then, came back with friends this past weekend. It's a great tour. Everyone and anyone in Irish political and cultural life to be found here. Our tour guide Bridget was very informative and had so much information and stories. I think I could do the tour again and learn even more. This time we got to climb the tower which was not a possibility before. I highly recommend this tour and visitor centre. We travel the world to see interesting places and forget about our own history. Thanks Bridget for a great experience

Wonderful guide Katie (Cait) made the whole experience most interesting and engaging. A very enjoyable and illuminating history lesson of the great figures of Ireland's past. One of the best (and unusual) things to do in Dublin. Highly recommended!

I had a tour with Lisa who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the place and irish history. 90 minutes passed so quickly. The tour was both informative and funny, with all the less known anecdotes about the important political figures who rest in peace there. It was good to see so many people taking part in the tour. I highly recommend to everyone.

Myself and a group of men from Drogheda Men's Shed had a guided tour of Glassnevin Cemetery yesterday at 11am. The Tour Guide was excellent and very informative, to the extent that she gave us information on graves that normally wouldn't be included on the tour.
All the 18 members had a great experience and we would highly recommend it.

Hi there, the tour of the cemetery tends to last about 90 minutes. The climb of the round tower is at your own pace, but people tend to take about 15 or 20 minutes. If you have any further questions, feel free to let us know!

Every time I visit I see new flowers on his grave, as well as small gifts, flags, letters, etc. As long as the grave is respected I imagine you absolutely can do so.

Yes it is. Many lanes are paved and others are gravel. The cafe, shopping and toilets are all on one level

Me gustarÃa que me informaran sobre el cementerio, si hay que pagar la entrada, si se puede ir andando desde el centro, o que parada tiene

Hello,
The cemetery is a 40 minute walk (approx) from O'Connell Street. You can get the 40 or 140 bus from O'Connell Street also. You do not have to pay to enter the cemetery however there is an admission fee for the museum and/or the guided tours.
Thanks.
