We paid for a guided tour so we could see more. It was not made clear you can’t actually access the large castle tower. The church is beautiful. House is very much like any other stately home. It was a mediocre venue. I wouldn’t pay...More

The tour was lovely and the stories told were really informative and entertaining! I really liked the sheer size of the castle and it's impressive history!

We came to the castle on a day where they were having a special event that evening so the tours they were offering around that time were limited. We opted to just aimlessly wander around the property and take in the sites on our own....More

Had a wonderful 2 hour tour of the Castle. The guide was knowledgable, clear and humorous if not a bit quick. The building and decor is amazing. We learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

From the outside it has resemblances of a castle. But inside I can assure you it’s not. It’s very modernised and is completely different to the castles I’m used to in UK e.g. Warwick, Windsor and Edinburgh. We done a self guided tour as it...More

We had a stop on our walking tour at the Dublin Castle. The Castle itself was not all that outstanding for architectural fame, but the history and stories were intersting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the castle. I recommend spending the extra €3 to get the guided tour as you can see other parts of the castle that are not available if you do do the self-guided tour. Our guide Richard was very friendly...More

We only had an afternoon in Dublin but the rain made walking around a little uncomfortable, so we decided to take the guided tour of the castle. We really enjoyed it. The state rooms were decorated for Christmas and our group was fairly small, so...More

To call this a castle would be a gross exaggeration. Knock Knock, Who's there? Castle. Castle who? This is not a castle. Okay.

Dublin Castle has lockers for backpacks, but we cannot accommodate anything that will not fit - small cabin-sized suitcases are usuall okay.
