The Chester Beatty Library hosts exhibitions of the kind of obscure little drawings that you won't see anywhere else! The permanent exhibition is of old texts from The Far East and I would recommend it to tourists as you are unlikely to see anything like...More

Fascinating ancient manuscripts and treasures from the major religions dating back to very early times. The displays are excellent. The decoration of the many illuminated manuscripts is sumptuous. What a surprise to find such a wonderful museum and library in the corner of the grounds...More

This was my first visit, won’t be my last. We were incredibly impressed by the young American chap who worked there his knowledge and passion for the collection was inspiring- an added treasure to this amazing collection.

Not that I want it to be crowded next time but this free attraction is so interesting. Ancient texts from a range of beliefs we should have spent longer here

The Beatty Library is a real gem that we never expected to find in Dublin. Great place for nerds (like us) and history lovers - and not just Irish history. Also FREE!

This was my favorite attraction of everything I viewed. A special little gem for booklovers. The cafe was pretty darn good too.

Nice gallery! The collection of Mr Chester is admirable and it is very well presented to visitors. I especially adore the collection of Japanese woodblocks and books. The exhibition about religions is also nice - informative and interactive (story of Buddha life). I definitely recommended!...More

Dropped in here for a quick visit - didn't do it justice and will return soon. There is a beautiful restaurant in the Chester Beatty Library called The Silk Road. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Delicious and reasonable.
