Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A brilliant frightful trip around some of dublins haunted location with scary ghost storys too. The ghost bus is an excellent night out with ghost storys history and a few laughs too. Edgar our guide is brilliant and very well informed on the storys and history of the places. Also the 2 stop on the tour are well worth it and gives you a chance to experience haunted locations wile been told about their haunted history. You can take photo but remamber you may get a little more that just a nice photo. Over all a brilliant night out with ghosts storys a few laughs.

Based on reviews I thought that I would book the Do Dublin bus tour, I thought a hop on hop off tour would suit me best, and be the best way to see the city. I took a bus a few stops from Kilmainham jail today the starting point on O’Connell Street (the last few stops of the tour). The tour seemed okay, it said it was a live tour on the front but it was more of pre-recorded commentary I felt a bit ripped off by it. As I had a tour booked at Glasnevin Cemetery for 2:30 and the bus didn’t go that way, I decided I would do the entire Do Dublin bus tour when I had finished around 4:30pm. I got on one of the last buses from O’Connell street which left a little later, as they were filming for social media for Valentine’s Day with the driver upstairs. The same 4 songs play on a continuous loop throughout the journey while there is no pre-recorded information being played! Often, when there is recorded information being played on the sites we’d either already gone passed them, or hadn’t reached that point yet! Or you couldn’t see the site at all! Sometimes information would be played and it would cut out halfway through playing the next piece of information, or back to that repetitive music. Would not do this again or recommend to anyone, unless you are only on there for a short period of time, and you’re not to worried about listening to the history of the sites. I’d much rather use public transport in the future and take a bus tour with a tour guide who can do live commentary. Would of complained in person at the office, but it closed at 5pm.

Dear Customer We're sorry to receive your review. It sounds as though you were on two multi-lingual buses. These buses are primarily aimed at our foreign language speaking customers and provide a recorded commentary in 9 languages. (the music playlist we are currently using includes 12 different songs not 4, but we do rotate the background music also) We recommend that English speakers take the Live tour, which includes a continuous live commentary from one of our guides. Our tour guides are second to none, and it is for this reason we have much more 5 star reviews than any other hop on hop off tour in Europe. Every second bus is live so it is unfortunate that you happened upon two multi-lingual buses. Our city centre office close at 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. We hope you enjoyed your trip to Dublin otherwise and please contact us directly should you return and we will try to make amends. Regards

Not really as 4D or buss interactive as expected. Really very funny. The actors really interact with the people on the buss in a very funny way. I laughed so hard at the one actor, he was just awesome!

You don’t get a pint of genies as much as a shot of something so don’t go expecting a free drink :)

The tour in itself is excellent as it covers the main places and you can visit the city at your pace. Our driver Greg was amazing - he was able to mix the history of the city with some really good jokes ;)

Greg - you rock!

Will take this tour again for sure.

The effort in the decoration of the bus is excellent. The tour is a combination of creepy, educational and funny. Edgar the main entertainer was very enthusiastic in his role and attempted to make us jump and also make us laugh. We visited two sites which was fun to hear the ghostly tales but also good to see the buildings they took us to. We had a fun night

We stayed in Dublin for a long weekend so didn't have loads of time. We wanted to see all the main historical sites & DoDublin was fantastic. Great locations all around that are easy to find, and it is literally hop on/off whenever you want. For us the best part was the staff they were all knowledgeable, helpful & polite. Absolutely every bus driver was great but for us we spent a couple of "trips" with Carla & she was awesome. The "live" commentary busses are a bit more entertaining & Carla made it even better. A little bit of Irish banter with customers & her signing of Molly Malone simply made our day! Thank you Carla & the DoDublin team. Merry Christmas to you all!

I visited dublin in may and had a great time. I leant a lot from the dodublin tours. I found them cheap and reasonably price with friendly bus drivers who showed me the way in dublin and had craic with me .I learnt alot about dublin like the famous O'Connell street to somuch more like what food restaurants are suitable. I found the tour very educating and wish i spent another day on the bus it made me feel apart of dublin and put me in the right direction in what to do. The website is well tun and easy to navigate they are a great service and should be proud as they have me as a happy customer

I recommended this tour to someone visiting me, as she wanted to do a haunted house or something similar, and I'd heard great things about this tour. Was not disappointed. From the tour side of things, it was informative and interesting, running through Ireland's rich literary past, emphasis on the gory bits.

The tour also includes two off-bus walking sections around graveyards and haunted sites. Some of the areas accessed are closed to the general public, so it was a privilege to be able to engage with the locked areas of Dublin's past.

The tour had its genuinely scary moments, and standing in the dark graveyard being told about the sightings that people in tours past had seen had the hairs on the back of my neck raised high.

Vincent was an incredible story teller, tailoring his tours to the tourists he had with him. He was hilarious and terrifying all in one, and knew how to engage best with his audience. His genuine love for what he does was evident, and it was a pleasure to hear the story of Dublin's spooky side from him.

First time ever in Dublin and want to see it all.. then this is the way to start. Ride the 1 hr 45 min route and hear about all the sites you want to see. Many are very close together and you can see that when you are comfortable and riding on a bus with someone telling you what you are seeing. Not that easy trying to look at a map and guessing where you are standing on the sidewalk. The drivers are friendly and helpful and really make the ride fun. We did a 2 day pass so we could stop and get off wherever we wanted. Highly recommend !!

Of all the hop on/hop off "bus tours" we've taken on our 3-week tour of Europe, THIS was by far, the best decision. Our driver (forgot his name sadly) was absolutely HILARIOUS! Entertaining, informative, and definitely amusing!
