Really enjoyed Kiernan’s interesting and entertaining commentary during the day trip to Glendalough and Powerscourt. County Wicklow is beautiful - so lots of lovely scenery to view while driving to the two sites. The only downside was that there wasn’t a lot of time at...More
After we waited for the first bus to arrive at the designated bus stop... (two time slots were passed with no bus) I should have realized that this was not a good choice. However! We got on and the LIVE tour guide was great! Funny,...More
Ken the driver/tour guide was absolutely amazing. Great service and amazing sense of humour. Remember to have a little cash for a tip. I felt so bad that I did not have cash. If anyone deserves a tip, ken does. He was the best!
We did the hop off/hop on bus. I would give it 5 Stars. Very informative and enjoyable. The driver was fun and we could hear him even though we sat outside on the top deck.
On a different day, we did a tour to Malahide...More
I don't know whether to work for this firm you need to be as mad as a box of frogs but our Driver /Guide Martin certainly was. Boarding on O'Connell Street he kept us informed and entertained for the whole trip. We picked the "Live...More

The hop on, hope off service is very useful if you've got time and leisurely want to see the sights, taking about two hours in total to make its round trip. If you need to go anywhere direct and want to save money then buy...More

Yes, I believe it is because one day does not allow you to know where you might want to go but if you take the bus around once with the live guide, then choose which places you might want to stop, take it again and spend as much time as you want then hop back on and go to the next area. We used it to get around town so there was less walking. Double check to see what time it shuts down for the night so you don't get caught without the ride back to wherever you want to be. We really wanted to tour the prison but if you do not purchase tickets early (like before you go on vaca) you may be disappointed like we were. Also the catacombs are closed, for whatever reason, from now until October 2 so that is not available but there is other interesting stuff to do. Check out the bullet holes in the post office pillars for example.

The best place to buy the DoDublin ticket is outside the air terminal at the bus stop. It includes a discount for the bus return to/from airport. Not all stops have ticketing so choose the purchase location wisely. Not sure which ones but O’Connell and St. Stephens Green work. You cannot board the bus without pre bought ticket. I never tried buying a ticket from the bus driver. Maybe???!!!
