We planned to visit the jail as soon as we booked our trip to Ireland. Joanne, our guide, was very knowledgeable. She shared stories about the prisoners and helpful info about the restoration of the jail itself. Thoroughly enjoyed. A must! Get your tickets before...More

A ton of history inside this prison. The guides have a huge amount of stories to tell about the people who were there.

We went on the 30 minute tour. This provided us with a good introduction to the history of the gaol. Our guide was both informative and charismatic. A very poignant visit.

My husband and I booked this tour quite some time ago for our first trip to Ireland. We visited the Wicklow Gaol several days ago, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. However, this one-hour guided tour was spectacular. Our guide, Dave, was an awesome historian, and...More
