This Victorian style museum - sitting untouched for 100 or more years is still something to see for all the amazing variety of animals, birds and sea creatures that it houses. A boom for the various students that were here in force when I was...More

This museum feels a little dated, yet is charming for that - the displays are quite formal, totally unlike the modern interactive immersive audio visual experience we get elsewhere. Many of the taxidermy exhibits were arranged over 100 years ago, but look fresh and natural....More

We were a little taken aback to learn that this museum of natural history is popularly known among locals as the Dead Zoo. Aptly named I guess as this the place you go to see the taxidermied versions of ancient as well as contemporary mammals....More

It's a fairly atypical Natural History museum - there's lots of taxidermied animals, but no exhibitions or information plaques as such. I would say about an hour and certainly no more than two.
