Fun active way to understand some Gaelic games and understand the culture behind them. The experience was well run by absolute enthusiasts keen to share the history of Gaelic Associations and the games played but also committed to ensuring absolute novices have fun in the process. Would recommend for any child or adult capable of playing some sport. They will try to organise groups of similar abilities ie travelling sports teams separate from interested but uncoordinated family groups.
Was the highlight of our recent Dublin trip. Blows the cobwebs out after planes , trains, autos and churches, museums.

Excellent time! fun for all. I took a group of 8 high level athletes and we had a blast. They will give you an informative history showing the importance of the games to each community then warm you up through all 3. Depending on your group from there it can be as light or as competitive as you wish. Our group had some contact present games but don't be worried they will adjust for your scenario. My second time and will be back again in a year. Thanks as always from DC!

We are from Texas and did this last week - it was one of the highlights of our trip to Dublin! We loved learning about the history and passion behind the 3 games, and then playing them was so much fun! My 2 kids and I had a blast, but maybe my husband most of all! ;) Even for someone with little hand-eye coordination like me, it was really fun. A wonderful and memorable experience for our family!

If you're looking for a uniquely and authentically Irish experience, look no further! I was apprehensive at first because I don’t consider myself an athlete. But I pushed my comfort zone to participate and I’m so glad I did. This experience was the best part of my trip to Ireland. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The facilities were clean and top-notch. I learned a great deal about and developed a high level of appreciation for the sports of hurling, Gaelic football, and Irish handball through this experience. I had such a blast with Experience Gaelic Games that I am looking to join a club in the United States that plays Gaelic sports. 100% recommended!!!

We had a fantastic time at Experience Gaelic Games as part of a stag weekend and would highly recommend this activity to anyone who is looking for something a little bit different to do in Dublin.
The day started with a fascinating introduction to the history and significance of the three Gaelic sports that we participated in (Hurling, Gaelic Football and Handball). Following this, it was straight out onto the training pitch to learn the basic skills of Hurling to enable to us to then take part in a match at the end of the session. After a short break, we had a go at Gaelic Football and then Handball, with a knockout competition at the end. Our coaches talked us through the skills required for each sport and were patient and clear in explaining the rules to everyone.
We received excellent hospitality from everyone at the Na Fianna club and really enjoyed the experience. Thank you to all involved. We would definitely come back and try to improve our skills!

Experience Gaelic Games offered an amazing experience to me and my wife. The first part offered a fascinating insight into why Gaelic Games are so important in Ireland and we then had ample time to experience all three sports. Each script starts with some drills and then a game and the coaches were extremely helpful and friendly throughout. Many thanks to all the team who worked on the 11am session, Saturday 26th March.
We were initially apprehensive about being a couple and potentially being grouped with a Stag Do / sports team but this wasn’t a problem at all. The session involved ourselves, an individual and a Stag Do! All the men from the group were very friendly and we enjoyed participating with them. They were excellent with my wife who was initially nervous. Most importantly, the coaches kept checking in on us and would have happily taken us off separately if things weren’t working out with the group. This level of customer service is really important and for any small groups who are apprehensive, you can rest assured that you will be well looked after and given the best possible experience.
This was truly the highlight of our trip and I’d love to play each of the sports again. Very different to anything I’ve done before.

Our time with Experience Gaelic Games was great. It started with a text from Georgina letting us know we were the only two signed up for the day. She said it was unusual but they could accommodate us or we could switch to another day. We decided to stay with our original booking. Paul met us outside and began the day. He explained the GAA clubs and their role in the community and country. He spoke about the games and how popular they are even as an amateur sports. We then started with handball to get us warmed up. Paul gave us instructions, went through a few drills then played a game, which turned into three games. Next was hurling. We followed the same routine of instruction, drills and games. He made mini competitions with the drills once he noticed how competitive we were with each other. Last up was Gaelic football. Again the same routine with instruction, drills, and games. We had a blast! At the end Paul airdropped us pictures which we hadn't realized he was taking because we were having so much fun. I would recommend this to everyone!

Hi David
We are most certainly open on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th March - but please be aware that Monday 28th is planned as the public celebration of the centenary of the 1916 Rising in Dublin - There are plans for the biggest street celebration ever held in the city -google dublin easter 2016 for details - so getting around might be fun!! Being here will be great anyway! Hope this helps.
